US Vogue February 2012 : Taylor Swift by Mario Testino

Love In The Afternoon
Lara Stone & Aaron Eckhart by Peter Lindbergh
Styled by Grace Coddington
Hair by Julien D'Ys
Makup by Stephane Marais

Great storytelling...love this ed and Lara looks beautiful!

Aaron and lara's ed is nice all round, love the styling and atmosphere of it all. Isabeli and karlie's ed however is a bit of a disaster. The big hair looks awful, isabeli looks great in the last shot though. Julia's is lovely actually, glad to see her in us vogue! Thanks for posting tarsha!

The enormous hair worked for Japanese Vogue, since Anna Dello Russo was involved, and complimented the excessive styling. Here it's just a disaster, uninteresting and fails to contribute edge to the photos. Lara's editorial doesn't stimulate me either. Overall I'm underwhelmed with the issue. Maybes after a purchase, I'll come across some decent articles.

Most of the content posted so far... it's not really playing to the strengths of what's being featured in each editorial. For example, towering hair is an interesting idea, but not when it's teamed with a slouch.

And the editorial above is hardly the worst offender for this, but - as others have said - I am so sick of seeing men with wrinkles in magazines, when women's faces are usually reduced to one-dimensional masks where every natural line is eradicated. The irony is, Lara gets to look quite messy in that shoot, it's contrary to her blonde sex-bomb editorials, but she still looks half his age, and for me, it's a tipping point, the last little instance that makes me turn away from the entire circus.

Editorial-wise I don't like this issue, exceptionally, because I usually like US Vogue.
Who/what's the inspiration of Lara's look? The styling is great and some pics are beautiful, but somehow it's kinda boring. Lara doesn't look that great with the black wig, either.
On Starlight Express, the wig is ridiculous anyway. The wigs made both eds risky
Bare Minimum is nice. The color scheme feels refreshing and the model looks great.
Thanks for the pics!

None of the editorials make me want to buy this issue to be honest. They all look boring. Although Lindbergh's editorial with Lara is kind of good.

This truly seems like such a lackluster issue, not one of those eds excites me, and just based on the previews the January issue was far more interesting than this!

This is one of the weakest Feb issues based on editorials, I expected to see more models

I was disappointed by the editorial at first as well, but I'm noticing a darker subtext in the story (even if there is simply room for me to imagine one) so I'm enjoying the whole thing now. When they leave a little room for interpretation in the story, or when the story is just darn romantic (ie the Daria and David Strathairn editorial from a while back), then I can tolerate the porcelain beauty vs. the haggard man pairing.

Anyway, the women in Vogue fashion stories are going to be flawless no matter what, and they have been paired up with all types of men (young, old, grungy, fresh-faced). I guess I'm not sure what would satisfy the readers - pairing up flawless women with flawless men regardless of their age? Pairing models/actors of the same age regardless of their appearance? Introducing wrinkled, flawed women into the mix? I could be missing the point of your post though...

The cover is boring & her ed is too bland, i don't know why Ms. Wintour put Taylor on the cover, is her is promoting something?

Also the eds are not excited, i mean i'm so bored to death than VUS are using the same photographers..., one day than i hope than in the future than Wintour starts to call to another photographers to feature on the mag, that makes to a refresing issue of US Vogue.

I don't think Lara is a good fit for Lindbergh's photography. Her ed was supposed to be the highlight of this thin issue but it hardly does anything. I thought the same thing for last year's July issue--thinnest of the year, boring to death, in which Lara and Frida by Lindbergh was the main fashion story.

I didn't care for this issue either. Although if it had to be a miss, I'm glad it was this issue with Miss Queen of Blah herself on cover.

she looks great with this new look, I wasn't a fan of her, but I Love this cover and her new look. It surprised me

Looks too much like the typical vogue nippon editorial.

That, and it fails to capture the garish, lavish feeling that the Vogue Nippon eds are known for, which is what makes them special. This fails at that.

It's funny, because Lara is my favorite model, and Lindbergh is my favorite photographer, but that ed does absolutely nothing for me.
