US Vogue March 2007 : Jennifer Hudson by Annie Leibovitz

Cristiano Ronaldo!:heart: I am definitely buying this issue.

Poor Jennifer looks like she's trying to catch flies on the cover. That is not a flattering photo imo

Le Sigh.

Its like they took the worst picture imaginable. Way to ruin something that could have been incredible Vogue.

Let me not complain too much though, its still a small step.

Vogue isn't afraid to show her cleavage, while KING magazine march issue chose face close ups only, although they usually like to show much more skin.

On first glance, I was a bit taken aback, not sure, but now I'm getting into the whole exuberance of the cover. Sure, there's something I feel that's a bit wrong about it, but it's been a long time since a US Vogue cover has had the power to shake me up.

I don't like the cover.
Not because of J Hudson. It's because Vogue has transformed from a trend leader to a trend follower. This time, a political trend follower.
I never understand why people treat race a big deal. vogue is trying way too hard.

So much vulgarity. On the cover, in the editorial as well as in this thread.

Very Oprah cover. Not digging it but will buy the issue anyways. The photos are fug to tell you the truth.

sad. it coul've been a gorgeous cover b/c J Hudson is a gorgeous woman. but that pic... too glossy (dress) and bad ankle (whole pic)

Seriously, what type of shots are these? Amateur(ish)! Either Jennifer making faces or shots waist up!

^there will be other pics too I guess...
I am going to buy this one...I hope the eds are worth it.

awful cover.looks like glamour cover.whats with the open mouth?
the only good pic is that of her by the piano.i would have preferred they did a diva-like smokey eye veiled eyes kind of thing with her.
it's the spring issue so ill still buy it.
and michelle williams 's in it ! now thats who id love to see on the cover

all i can say is as soon as i saw the cover i got a flashback of ursula the sea witch from my Little Mermaid picture book

Sorry but I think it looks cheap..perfect for a Glamour or Elle cover, but not for Vogue  ah well I think it perfectly describes the status US Vogue is in :innocent:
I couldn't have said it better myself. US Vogue is such a joke right now. It's like everyone is giving it prestige when it no longer deserves it. The one thing I always loved about Vogue was that it was sophisticated and actually fashionable. Now anyone can make the cover. No one is knocking Jennifer Hudson but it's so painfully obvious that she can't strike a pose for sh*t. That wide open mouth is taking up half the cover and then the one "chic" picture inside has her legs wide open. Are you effin kidding me??

"chic" because for once her mouth isnt open...it's as if theyre saying: just in case you didn't know, this girl is a SINGER...hence wide open mouth shots at any and every opportunity

All the pictures I've seen so far are an embarrassment for everyone involved. :innocent:
