US Vogue September 2025 : Emma Stone by Jamie Hawkesworth

I can't stand the hairstyling, it ruins the already mediocre cover for me. Her hair is too fine to be styled that way without her looking crazy.

I'm going to disagree with the general consensus that Emma Stone is somehow an irrelevant actress.

Happy to see Emma, this is Anna Wintour's latest issue? If so, it could be a tribute to her first cover when the model wore jeans and a couture jacket, but the style here is a bit boring and the photography is more for an indie magazine, it's a cross between the November 2019 issue (with Claire Foy by David Sims) and Rihanna Vogue US March 2014!! Who is the photographer? Jamie Hawkesworth? Colin Dodgson? David Sims?

That's what I was wondering, except in 2025, we get two mud flaps and a pair of jeans.

Everyone’s speculating that this issue is Anna Wintour’s last one, but who exactly said that?
We know she’s stepping down, but unlike Edward and Margaret, there’s been zero official word on her actual last issue. Or am I missing something?

She might stay until next year, but this is definitely her last September issue.

I am just curious where the cover is from? eBay? or book store?

I saw it last night on etsy, unofficial.

For me, it was random searching, because I'd been waiting that long for news of September Vogue covers that I'd reached the point of forgetting to check obsessively on tfs for news. I'd gone beyond that point.

When we get the official release of US Vogue, we usually hear about UK Vogue the day after.

The editor's letter inside the September issue should provide this information.

Unfortunate that nothing works despite Jamie being a decent talent. More disappointed in Grace’s hack styling tho.

Emma looks like Debra Messing— and why is she not looking directly at the camera???; the messy hair looks too much like Kate Gosselin’s signature Karen style; that Vuitton vest looks like a quarterback’s protective pads; the flat, ugly digital gradient seamless resembles the kind of slop Rafael Pavarotti's made into his signature.

The hair is giving me flashbacks to that awful hack job on Keira Knightley for September 2008. I like the smile, and that's about it. What an underwhelming cover offering for what is considered the biggest event in print. The styling of the jeans from Grace definitely feels like a tribute to Anna Wintour's first cover.

I do not enjoy the masculine styling on a women's fashion magazine. The hair looks like something out of the skateboard magazines my brother used to buy the in mid-90s, and the top looks like football shoulder pads. The pose finishes it off by removing any femininity whatsoever.

Emotionally, it is the same cover as:

I stand by my first impression of "two mud flaps and a pair of jeans".

Looking ahead to UK Vogue potentially being revealed tomorrow.
I wonder if women will be running to the boutiques this fall to purchase "two mud flaps and a pair of jeans." Maybe US Vogue is giving them what they never knew they wanted?
