This is the first time I liked valentino. Usually (last two seasons) he would be too plain. the patterns reminds me of old couture = love. The most interesting part of the dresses are what he does to the upper torso and sleeves. Sometimes it would be cbare, or have a thin fabric to cover it up, or be assymetrical. :D

My favouite piece is the very first one.

I love this collection! Valentino always makes beautiful clothing, I have never disliked anything he has made :)

its extremely extremely beautiful.

sure valentino doesnt change from season to season, but i love the textures this season. beautiful

After years of bewilderment, I have finally come to terms with the fact that Haute Couture is not here solely for mine and the masses' entertainment, but that the modern clientelle dictates that the clothing should have a degree of wearability. I thank my blessings for Galliano's theatre, but can also appreciate the exquisite tailoring, craft and detailing of Valentino's pieces. The mandatory 80s style make-up that we see every season is a reminder that Valentino has acheived what he sees as a perfect formula for his 'Valentina', and his job every season is to give her a couple of new pieces that fit into her style, will not age and serve the objective of megawatt glamour and class.
Valentino is not a young London designer that creates new, exciting and challenging concepts, nor is he a showman that explores a different avenue of imagination every season. He does what he does, and has made a pretty good living from it, thank you very much. His face of a thousand tropical holidays tells us that.

I love it. Of course it's not as unique as Galliano and his "walking lettuce" ( ), but this collection is just gorgeous.

very pretty, as valentino always is

ditto! Valentino is amazing! Always one of my favs. I cant wait to see the whole collection!

I think it's fabulous!! It's crazy how Valentino's still managed to keep up with his charisma and spice. He has not lost it that's for sure! Great fabrication, great prints. Just great.

Many of the dresses look the same as the ones he's done before, but after 60 years in the business it's hard to come up with something really new.

Still beautiful.

I love the dresses on Natasha, Hilary, and Stam the best, but overall this is my favourite collection from what I've seen so far.
