Vanity Fair April 2013 : Taylor Swift by Peter Lindbergh

I don't really understand, she does poke fun of herself in that very article people seem to be saying she doesn't?

“People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like—that’s a thing that I apparently do. If I like you I will apparently buy up the real-estate market just to freak you out so you leave me.”

To me that entire sentence is rather sharply sarcastic, particularly the last part where she pokes fun at how the media like to make out everyone leaves her?

Their use of sources to counteract her team's stance on situations make it seem like they're not trying to get Swift back for a second interview or cover shoot that's for sure!

But the sources were her team. The ones that countered the sources were Styles' named reps and the public housing records.

“Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”
I just want to note that this quote was originally said by Madeleine Albright, the former Secretary of State (and the first women to hold that position). I always thought it was pretty well known and attributed to Mrs. Albright. So while I agree with the sentiment of the quote, it definitely made me chuckle reading Taylor cite it, a bit incorrectly. And as for the Tina and Amy bit, that this quote is being directed too (at least from my understanding that's what she's talking about?), I wish that Taylor wouldn't make it into a big deal. Tina and Amy poked fun at a lot of people that night and if I'm being honest, it was a pretty funny joke. The way this article was written makes it seem like she's unable to laugh at herself, which is a shame.

oh god, this is tragic... at first beautiful cover of uk instyle and then this...

Oh god she's pathetic, I assume her PR team set this cover up?

They're just making a bigger deal out of it. It's basically admitting that her "reputation" does bother her and people will reinforce it more. It will bite her in the *** even even more in the long run.

Underwhelming. Boring

I have a strong suspicion her comments about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were taken out of context, she's always seemed to be fine with a bit of a joke about herself.

I do however love Amy's response - "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl, that being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."
