Velcro rollers/heated rollers/etc

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section/thread.

I'm extremely confused about which type of rollers to use on my thick, somewhat wavy, hair. What are some good brands that I could get in Canada? How do you use them? I'm just extremely lost.

I tried to search for some threads to help me out, but I'm still unsure.

Oh, and what method will get my hair like this?

i think you can buy hot rollers in canada.

i have thick, wavy hair. think carrie bradshaw season two. i love (i'm aware this isn't the healthiest thing) flat ironing my hair, wearing it straight for two-three days, and then doing hot rollers until i wash it again (probably twice a week). once your hair is straight, you get major body when rolling it, but still retain the smooth, sleek hair from it being ironed. i also use them sometimes to manage my curls after my hair air dries.

my hot rollers are a travel set from con-air that i've had for 3+ years and still work great.

Although my hair isn't thick, it's dense and also somewhat wavy, and I use rollers several times a week to achieve massive volume. Velcro rollers combined with the heating power of a blow-drier (and the initial application of thickening lotion) seem to provide the longest-lasting results; however, they are best secured with pins (although the packaging will declare them unnecessary). Self-heating rollers are effective, but they don't adhere and I find it more difficult to wind my hair around them. Plus they're heavy... Pillow rollers are comfortable for sleeping and provide great results, but with a different sort of curl--looser, and more spiraled. Anyway, I find it fun to experiment...

Does anyone have any experience with Spornette Battalia Ceramic Thermal Rollers? I'm in the market for rollers that give me volume in the crown area, and am not too concerned about getting curls (which I use a flat iron to achieve). Recommendations for similar rollers would be fine, too. Thanks in advance!

All right, Spornette Battalia obviously isn't very popular around here! How about Denman Thermoceramic Self Grip Rollers? Both Denman and Battalia do the same thing - add lots of volume and slight curls - but I can get a slightly better deal on the former. I still only get four per pack, though.
