Versace S/S 2010 : Georgia May Jagger & Simon Nessman by Mario Testino

says Testinofan..no need to get biased. :P

 But he's right actually. How could she have "copied" Lara's pose from Vuitton when they were shot at a similar time? Who knows, maybe even Versace was shot before LV? So whoever said that

And I like the ad! I don't know, maybe my expectations when it comes to Testino for Versace are low but this is nice, miles better than last season for sure.

Yes, she's a beauty but she's yet to learn how to model like a pro, and in a way, that's only natural. The disadvantage of having a famous surname is that it allows you to step into campaigns before you've done your apprenticeship, where you learn how to model in editorials for foreign Marie Claire and Glamour before your big moment comes.

I wholeheartedly agree. Georgia has something that sets her apart from other celeb babies, but I she definitely needs some practice. I think sometimes I forget that even newcomers in the industry have often had some experience in Asia etc., whereas Georgia has literally just walked into a Versace campaign. It's not really her fault I suppose...

Back on topic, I actually don't mind this campaign. The use of Georgia alone makes it less stale than the usual endless supermodel glamazons. Hopefully it'll get better the more images we get.

i know..i was talking about the baby mario comment

I like it veeery much, and glad Georgia is in, she's awesome !

Definitely not a good first impression of the campaign, and it's not only the mediocre modeling. Given the collection this campaign really could have been something incredible and bold, in the way that Meisel and Donatella's early collaborations were. There's just nothing in this first shot that would make me stop and look at it when flipping through a magazine, and that's pretty much how I've felt about Versace ads for years now. They've lost their punch.

Versace has pretty much always been tacky, so this is no surprise.
It probably would of looked more appealing with different clothes/accessories.
Too much vibrancy with the prints.
I never like Versace campaigns, though. Only in the Gianni Versace days.
I'm just waiting for Nessman and see how they incorporated him.

this looks like a tribute to the nineties version of versace. gianni would be so proud. love it. & so happy for georgia & all her recent campaign resume additions.

It looks like a cheaper version of Versace ads from the 90's.

They should have used Gisele if they wanted to go back to the whole uber-sexy look.

I don't get why Versace uses boring models who don't deliver for great concepts, but when they use a fantastic model they put them in the most boring concept in the world.

I love the clothes and the bag, that's all.

So far it actually looks better than the last 2 campaigns imo.

Reminds me of Rianne's ads from SS 2004. I hate to judge so early, but it looks kind of tacky.

 Not even. This doesn't even compare.
I knew this was going to be crappy ever since it was announced Georgia would be in this. I want my menswear shots though! Heck, they should have put Simon in the dresses! That would have been...interesting :brows:

I think it looks great. Love the freshness and the colors. I completely can feel the spirit of the collection in thin campaign. So can´t wait for more.

^ I actually liked those ads! I think they were far better than this.

Tacky! Tacky! Tacky! To start of, why did they use PINK!? Why? The pose is weird! Hope there's more and by more it means better shots

Georgia has a lifeless stare... And the whole ad is so tacky! Damn, this is horrible.

Her gap teeth distracts me from the clothes and bag. I understand it's part of her feature but it looks really horrible here! Otherwise the contrast of yellow and black; texture and pattern are rather eye-catching.

Love this, the colors are so vibrant and I like the cool messy vibe of the shot
I also like the fact Georgia reminds a bit of Abbey, who was the star of the runway show.
And SO happy neither Gisele and Kate got this :woot: :woot:

Don't like it.
Georgia is just not a model.
Although I'm happy it isn't Kate or Gisele. She should have jused Abbey, Rianne.
But indeed I need to see more before I can really jugde, based on this photo: bluhh
