Vogue Australia January 2016 : Gemma Ward by Lachlan Bailey

Julia Hafstrom is so gorgeous...not getting much from the editorial, though. Pretty dull. But what a face!

Adrienne Juliger, on the other hand, is so pre-pubescent looking. It just is uncomfortable to see her in these photos. Awkward and clearly so uneasy in front of the camera.

Is Lachlan Bailey a talented enough photographer to dedicate a whole issue to? I'm not so sure....

Could someone please upload the interview with Lachlan Bailey in readable resolution?

I see the same in Adrienne's editorial. Looks like a girl playing dress-up, only more uncomfortable looking - not too far from 'Pretty Baby', if you ask me.

I'm a huge Lachlan Bailey fan, but I'll agree that an issue dedicated to his work is a bit far-fetched. I just struggle to find anything distinguishable in his work, however beautiful his shots may be. Oddly enough, I'd have no qualms if it was British Vogue giving him this platform. His aesthetic, along with that of Alasdair McLellan, aligns more with that of UK Vogue.

But there are a lot of Australian photographers who don't get to shoot an entire issue. Why or how did they come to the decision to dedicate the issue to Lachlan Bailey in particular?
