Vogue Australia November 2019 : Bella Hadid by Daniel Jackson

I don't mind yet another cover with Bella or Gigi. But when magazines put their names splashed across covers like that, I find it annoying because it is obvious they are used for the hype and not for their looks/modelling skills.
Right.. to call her a model is a stretch. Not that the term really means the same anymore anyway. Remember those Fashion TV first faces interviews and it was so exciting to hear your runway/Vogue faves actually speak? Those were the days.

Ever since the lines between the model and the celebrity started to be blurred and even more so quickly this decade thanks to social media, the term "model" has a different meaning.

Last month Australian Vogue elevated Haley, whom I’d thought of as one of the least talented of the Nepotism Models, with a truly fantastic cover. This month they’ve produced a horrendous cover with the most promising of the bunch, Bella.

My sentiments exactly! After last month's cover, I was expecting to be bawled over by Vogue Australia again but this is simply dire. Daniel Jackson has produced far better work than this - and so has Bella! The use of the Louis Vuitton outfit is definitely the deal breaker.

Now this would've been a killer cover! Instead we got that hideous Vuitton mess... Such a shame.

wow Linda Evangelista... :D

There are some amazing shots in Bella's editorial. I was going to say "How they ended up with that cover is beyond me", but then we all know the answer would be "LVMH".

I’m convinced they came up with that thing looking at ‘Salvator mundi’: Color, drapes, even Bella’s hair fits. Ironically, the creation of both is attributed to multiple masters.
