Vogue Japan October 2014 : Cara Delevingne by Patrick Demarchelier

Not only is the layout horrid but there's also way too much of that awful green. It's really distracting. Ironically enough, so many people are talking about Edie looking dull in print but I think Cara is the one with this same half sleepy/half drunk expression almost all the time. That said, I do love that Louis Vuitton; Ghesquiere is dominating.

Obviously she's wearing Louis Vuitton Fall 2014

You're kidding me. From the epic cast on the September cover to...this. And an outfit from the most overexposed--as much as I love it--collection on the most overexposed and overrated model. Great.

The color combination on this cover reminds me of my grandma's broccoli casserole. :ermm: No bueno…..

So not only for September, but for the next 3-4 months we're gonna see this collection on EVERY cover? as much as this is a great collection it's getting old

Oh God, more of Cara. It's not a bad pose, she looks fine but there's absolutely nothing interesting about this.

Absolutely gorgeous cover, the colour combination could be improved but I love the pose and overall layout.

Can't wait until when she finally gets casted for a legit acting project and leaves the floor for models who can actually make a collection look good on covers.

I have nothing against Cara Delevingne but I just wish the team behind the shoots would do something different with her. Is she under contract to look a certain way or something? Or is she just not a versatile model? The fact we're seeing Louis Vuitton for the umpteenth time doesn't exactly help matters either.

Three vogue covers in one month...
just honestly want to ask you all, is she really that interesting or I'm seriously missing something out. I don't even think Kate has three vogue covers in one month before?! feel free to correct me.

I used to not not like her, now I can´t help but roll my eyes everytime I see her name on a thread title... I like the pose but the layout is overkill.

Magazine covers used to be joyous and stop people in their tracks not gag and regret taking a closer look...Seriously, what is this sh*t?

I rarely even open the VOGUE Japan thread for this very reason....which is so frustrating because NIPPON VOGUE used to blow my mind. It trumped every other edition of VOGUE in every aspect.

When it first launched until the mid 2000s, their art direction was phenomenal with unexpected covers and editorials, they worked with the best photogs and fashion journalists and their page layouts kept you wanting more thanks to the informative and wide range of fashion and beauty features with a fresh mix of nostalgic and current images and inspirations.

I stopped going out of my way to get my hands on it around 2007 cuz it became just as pale imitation of the cutting-edge magazine it used to be and just as predictable as every other edition of VOGUE.

But that's the wonderful thing about Print. You can always flip through those stellar issues and reminisce.
