Vogue Nippon July 2010 : Alessandra Ambrosio by Inez & Vinoodh

i hope the content is as good as it sounds! i'm particularly looking forward to abbey and malgosia's edit
thanks for your accurate review Faith :flower:

Wow, I'm blown away by Dree's editorial. She really knows how to work her angles, and the make up and hair is a dream. Beauty editorial's are so often forgot about, and I like that Vogue Nippon seems to focus on producing great beauty editorials :)

love Dree's, really like Constance's, can't wait to see the rest!!!

WTF ???? GOSHHHHHHHH It's bad enough to see over and over again this prada dress from Vogue Paris, British Vogue, L'Uomo Vogue on Tyra Banks' editorial and etc. but now a commercial model on a high fashion magazine cover??? Gosh YES Alessandra is sexy, sweet, nice etc but she's NOT a high end supermodel that deserves a Vogue Nippon !!!! The coverlines are a mess, including the hair, her face and the the all layout is lazy ! NEXT

:ermm: actually she started her career doing HF ... and I think she deserves this cover because her last season was awsome. And also it's nice to see a different model choice from the ones VN usually makes. Refreshing B)

the editorial featuring constance is sublime. loving the fashion juxtaposition. überchic

I agree with you here.

Too many complaints about everything. People here blame the 1 or 2 outlier models, namely old hag supermodels who emerge once in a blue moon out of retirement and 3 VS models who emerge out of their catalogs of monopolizing the magazine industry when in fact, its Lara-Natasha-Daria + a sprinkling of Anja and Freja who's been in every magazine for the past 5 years. And nothing against model class 2005-2006, in fact they are my favorites and they are very well loved for a very good reason, but old supermodels and VS models are not really the reason why your favorite newb cant get a cover. Maybe you and the other 5 people with 5 alternicks who stalk their threads and their moms are the only ones who care about them. Or maybe your name is not steven meisel. Okay end of rant.

Nevertheless, I am not a VS fan and have always thought of Alessandra as not high fashion enough too, but her handlers slowly put her back into our stream of consciousness last year by having her show up in magazine edits and have good runway appearances, thus reminding people that she can do other stuff other than VS.

:lol: .. well said.. kids need to get less hormonal about this.

Angelo Pennetta's story looks like it should be interesting, if only by the play of colors.
