Vogue Paris June/July 2012 : Gisele Bündchen by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

I'm not negative at all when refering to Alt's direction on VP, but what is it that made tFSers like so much this cover? The sand on her butt? That's the only difference I can see from already done beach themed covers... If you get Gisele and the sea, then explore more angles and ideas for the cover. Hope the contents are good, maybe the photoshoot is more creative after all.

Its a stunning cover though I have seen the yellow masthead or brand name on a blue beach scene cover before

I actually found the Alt praise weird as well. We haven't even seen the contents. The cover is great, but yeah, I'm not ready to jump on the Alt bandwagon quite yet.

This is Alt at her best - pushing the limits of edginess, and definitely not for those who see the body as something vulgar.

Sorry, but how is this cover "pushing the limits of edginess"? I can't find a single edgy thing about the cover, or Emmanuelle's overall direction. She can obviously hold her own, but she's definitely not breaking ground here...

Time flies but Gisele STILL remain the same. That V cover in 2008 and this Vogue 2012 Gosh she even looked better!!!!! Bow to Gisele the great.

I think Gisele looks athletic and striking. There's a sexiness there, but it's not vulgar. Love the attitude in her face. And I love how the sand is sticking to her ***. I feel its what makes the shot.

And I like how her hair is dark, like vintage Gisele from the late 90's!
Can't wait to pick up my issue!

Seems an Elle cover!

i actually see why so many of you guys feel it's an Elle cover, but what makes it VOGUE for me is that it is Gisele showing her butt, not some unknown pretty model. B) gisele is a superstar, everybody knows her, not just people in fashion.

I've seen that *** before...
well it's a nice summer cover
but really.. it bores me.
Nope I'm not gonna buy it.

Can't wait to get my copy, it's definitely up there with some of the best covers of this year so far and puts me right in the mood for summer. It's fresh, Gisele looks great and that's a body worth showing off. Now waiting for the editorial content.
