Vogue Poland June 2018 : Adwoa Aboah by Tim Walker

Another one for my idea that the new Vogues (I'm including the revamped one like Portugal and Ukraine) look all the same. How is this translating into it's Polish audience? What's the direction? What is this even?

It's a great portrait even though the subject is a soulless mannequin. But it's nothing more than a pretty picture as a cover. It looks fan made. Too universal.

Only this Tim person can take a gorgeous woman and shoot her as a disproportionately, sad, and hollow raggedy doll with that tiresome fishbowl lens. I despise his shoots at this point.

(What are the chances that the editor wanted this shot for the cover to enforce Adwoa’s sleepy trademark look rather than select a shot that shows her looking different..? Why she gets the hate and not these editors and photographers who are too lazy/ too scared to take some risks and make an effort for something different, is beyond me.)

Exactly!

It's feels totally irrelevant. Like a random test shoot with a Vogue logo over it.

Wow she's such a versatile model :innocent:
