Wow, finally some good editorials floating around this week.

That's Zendaya's best editorial work yet; regardless of her crony's involvement. Jack Davison is too underrated.

My favourite thing about that editorial is that location in LA though. What's it called? I remember Herb Ritts shot Liisa Winkler for US Vogue there and it was also in a Lachlan Bailey edit (Du Juan?) and Usher's 'There Goes My Baby' video.

That Zendaya editorial took my breath away. Everything just falls into place from the setting to the styling to her presence. Davison’s lighting also captures that ethereal isolation possessed by Villeneuve’s Dune really well.

Gosh, now I want a sci-fi film with costume design by Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry.

It's a place in Malibu called Ocean & Sky ranch, which you can apparently rent out for $5k a day.

WOW. Love Zendaya’s cover! Glorious! And I can’t help but love Almodovar’s Pendelope Cruz cover too. I haven’t picked up an issue of W in ages but I’d buy this issue in a heartbeat if I saw it. The problem is that I have no idea where this is sold these days except for airports. *shrug*

Zendaya’s shoot is one of the most magical fashion editorials I’ve seen in the last couple of years. It has an aura that does recall Dune’s elegant cinematography but given a more decadent twist.

It’s also very 60s Vogue with how majestic and monumental she looks, kinda exotic too (forbidden word!).
