It's a scary concept to me. You're changing a feature on your face/body you've had (most likely) since you were born, and you lived with it for decades and years. Then you have a surgery and wake up every morning to a completely different person. I'd be much weirded out by someone I know having a noticeable change. And of course, there are also the risks of the surgery being botched or complications arising.
But if other people want it and are willing to face the aftermath and accept the consequences that could happen, then they should go ahead their merry way. Whatever makes them happy. They're going to have to deal with it, not me.
