I got this lovely dress today, its a really cute rose print, but I have no idea what to wear it with to toughen it up a bit, and make it less like I'm going to a tea party :D

you can wear this with a navy cardi and cinch it with a black patent belt so it will look hard yet still soft then pair it with loads of gold and black bangles... wear black patent glad heels!!!

Personally, I love the recent looks of floral mini dresses with black ankle booties or the bootie/sandal.
Or perhaps a platform sandal that will make it "heavier".

Maybe even a cropped leather jacket if it's cold (or a black wrap, scarf).

I tend to stay away from overly adorning floral patterns with jewelry b/c it can be tricky.

Amerie you can try wearing a tshirt underneath it, maybe grey marle, dark grey, or black? Then a cropped leather motorcycle jacket and some chunky gladiator heels.

What can I wear with this Elizabeth & James draped skirt? The colour is a pale lilac-grey.

I'm quite a simple dresser so I haven't gotten further than a tshirt + ballet flats.

Cicciolina - I adore the draping and colour of the skirt
You could wear it with a simple black top, then team it up with some chunky jewellery + sparkly silver heels, or black boots. Could also do a boob-tube top in black so it looks sort of like a one piece...throw on a cardi/little shrug..
Or perhaps wear it with a light grey top + light pink tights + ballet flats...for a more delicate look. I would say keep the top simple since the draping needs to be the feature IMO

Amerie - I think you could style your dress along the lines of this : http://forums.thefashionspot.com/showpost.php?p=5872175&postcount=135 :flower:

Cicciolina - I think you'r doing the right think by keeping the rest rather basic.. because the skirt with the beatuful details is the centerpiece.. maybe add some killer heels ?
Maybe, come autumn, wear it with a tight sweater a la the 50ies sweather girls and black opaque tights ?

I just bought this pair of black suede heels, and I don't really know what to match it with. The salesgirl said it would look good with a plain, casual dress, or jeans and shirt. I don't know.
It would look good only with casual outfits? Could I wear it with a party dress? Maybe a pattern dress??

Oh, you could wear them to almost everything.

They would work perfectly with the LBD, but also with the big gown.

I bought this cute BB Dakota skirt but i'm not sure what to wear with it. I have bright purple satin flats that would look cute.

Cicciolina I thought of another option - a crisp, welltailored/fitted shirt would also work with the skirt..

What a beautiful print!

I'd actually pick out the blue-y green colour in the skirt and wear it with flats in that colour, I love a bit of clashing!

Oh Lord, I LOVE your dress! Sorry to jump in, and I'm probably going to be a bit controversial, but I'd wear it with a denim waistcoat and some clunky ankle boots, maybe even studded ones. Flat, not heeled.

Sorry for butting in, but I just couldn't resist! :flower:

Hey everyone!

So I bought those boots for the fall but I don't know what to wear them with.

They are black, knee-high, suede-ish, pointy, with a two inch heel. They are kind of skintight so they fit perfectly around my calves yet I can wear them on top of skinny jeans (if that makes sense in english?!?).

They have a definite 90's look to them therefore they can look dated very easily, yet they have the potential to look very groovy and cool (in a Tom-Ford-for-Gucci vibe in a way). They're like something Melissa Joan Hart would wear on Sabrina the Teenage Witch or that Cordelia character in Buffy, or I don't know Heather Graham during the 90's. You get my drift?

I was thinking a skirt which would come above the knee, but which kind? and which kind of pants, top etc...

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

what kind of bag and shoes can I wear with this colour leather trench? colour and material wise?

aris,

huge black bag (non-leather) and black flats, perhaps navy blue or violet could work as well? (it really depends on how it looks irl)

EvaIntl Thank you - I can't think of any non leather bag, any suggestion?
