I 'd wear some sandals in the same color as the little ring detail- cute dress by the way- but I'd hate to wear any sort of heels on grass or dirt- you'd keep sinking in wouldn't you?

okay here's another one-

I love this gucci clutch- but I'm at a loss for how to wear it-

I mean It's obviously a very dressy evening look- but whatever you wear it with would have to be kind of "rock and roll" to pull it off- what would look best with it?

I mean, sleeveless or strappy? I was thinking a minidress, but would that look wh*re-y? Something white? or black

and for the shoes I was thinking like some tough looking flat sandals?

Honeslty I'm not sure exactly what to wer with the clutch, it's a tough one! I wouldn't go with a mini dress though, and i'd wear black over white with the clutch. I'm imagining a long simple sleek dress, short dresses or no sleeves, with some funky platform shoes kind of like the lanvins.

Maybe something like this.. from Givenchy FW 06... It's simple, yet so timeless and elegant.. it would compliment the clutch just perfectly!

I found a picture similar to what I was thinking. Picture from Vogue.

baizilla- I loved that collection form givenchy- I guess i thought something classic like that would be too, well classic...

and guessgirl- I wouldn't have thought of it but a long dress- esp. a very simple one like that would go well. though i still think I like flat sandals- even more so with the long gown- (I'm just not keen on platforms)

Thanks both!

here's the MJ jacket, the dkny is a basic cotton khaki trench and i have a cropped trench from target. since the dress is fitted and flared from the waist down, im not sure what to wear with it. like a coat, or sweater, or vintage shrug ( i think fur might be a bit much...)

I think either of the shoes you have posted would be good.
As far as a cover up...to me the vintage shrug sounded best. What color is it? For the bag, if you are wearing mostly black, I would use a bag with a little color in it. Maybe a black bag with some color detail in it????

Great dress!

For the outerwear... you should go for a cropped cardigan.. it would make the outfit look stunning.

As for a bag.. go with a clutch instead.. it adds simplicity to the whole outfit, because if you were to use one of those large bags it would make the outfit look "unbalanced"...

Shoes.. those black taffetas slingbacks are okay :)

Good luck! :flower:

thanks so much!!!!!!!! i am on the hunt for a clutch, as i thought the same thing, that the bags may be too much...i would really love a bright yellow clutch or green one....any suggestions? and for the cardigan, would you go for one with a print or all-one color? thanks a bunch for your help!

I could definitely see just a simple black cropped cardigan with that dress..

as for the clutch, any would do ^_^

I recently bought a pair of white pants. It is the first white pants, I have ever had. The problem is, it is a bit translucent.
So my question is, what color/kind of underwear should I wear with it? And also what color shoes would be the best to wear with white pants? Would a black leather boots be fine? And what color/kind of top would be the best suit?
Please help.
BTW, I am male.

I bought my first pair last summer. They're a somewhat wide legged cotton pair. They're hard to match, but I've had success with a dark navy button down short sleeved shirt. I keep it untucked to give it a light, summery feel. I'd like to wear them with a black shirt too, but I haven't found one that quite suits them. Same with a lighter shade. I know something could work, but I haven't found it yet.

My aren't see through, so I wear my regular black briefs. I wear black loafers or other dress shoes with mine. Mine could work with sandels or some sort of white shoe, if I wanted an extremely relaxed look, but I don't have either. The boots should work- especially if you have a dark top.

Now I get to ask for some advice. I've had this shirt for about two months and I have a number of issues with it. First pairing it with some pants. Second, whether I should wear it tucked or untucked. Third, how to manage the scarf. Fourth, if the sleeves should be down or rolled up with the supplied button/strap.

Attached are 6 picture. The first is my range of brownish pants. From darkest to lightest they are leather, gabardine, cotton/cashmere cordoroy, cotton/cashmere, and pure cashmere. I'm not set on wearing brown with them, but it seemed the easiest option.

Then, the other pictures show it with the scarf down and then wrapped in two different ways. The same goes for the sleeves. I'd wanted you to see how they look down or rolled. It's looser that what I usually wear, but it is a 48IT, so I assume it's meant to be loose.

I'm also including runway shots. The first is the same shirt, but in a different color. I like the way they use the scarf, but I don't know where to attach it to hold in position. Also, my pants aren't as high waisted. The second is a collared version of my colors. I do have the jacket, but not the pants. I'm also not sure I'd care to hide the shirt away so much. I'm probably not going to wear it often, so I want it to be a focal point of the outfit.

Thanks!

EDIT- The shirt is silk.
