In my opinion, I didn't like that combination at all, I found it jarring with the different prints and colors.

I find that I like bright things like that sweater in moderation. That sweater is going to get attention, so I wouldn't wear anything to compete with it. I'd wear it with black. If anything not black, the color should be the same as a color found in the sweater.

I know--looking back at it now, I cringe @ the sight of it (did I mention the sweater is from Spring '04, when EVERYBODY was mixing bold colors on the runway, Christopher Bailey from Burberry Prorsum coming to mind)..Oh well, you learn from your mistakes, right?

Hey, I wonder if there's a thread on here dedicated to your own personal fashion-mistakes..We've all made them, and Im sure we all have pictures to prove it..

But thanks Yasmin, I like your approach as well...Leave the sweater as is, and coordinate it in all-black...the colors will POP against a black ensemble..

I seriously need help. Don't know what looks best. So I want you guys to tell me :D I have this sequinned bolero, but what looks good with it?

Ida, My favorites are the two first ones and then the one with the dress  I don't like it with the turqouise cami, too much is going on there. And you can do better than the all black outfit.

Hi!!! Next week I had to go to a dignified meeting...I think I will wear my most elegant pants (I've plenty of jeans and one decent pants...), a tweed pants and my black heels boots and a brown jacket...but what can I wear at the top?
and if you can please drop a picture of it....thanx^_^

ida...you've got the right idea...it looks good with blue...
do you have anything purple...that might also work...
:flower:

oh...and i really think it looks good with a long sleeve under....
nice layers...

I agree with Tinetush too, mirrra :flower:

Softgrey I don't have anything purple, but that might work too.

I have a black babydoll and a blue camisole which it goes quite well with, but that's too cold to wear at school. I think I'll end up wearing it with the long-sleeved t-shirt :D

Thanks everybody :flower:

I have this Armani suit, in black wool crepe:

I have no idea how to accessorize it. Pins, scarves, and most necklaces seem to take away from the drape of the neckline. Black shoes and a black handbag seem the most obvious choices--but then I'm dressed in complete monochrome black, which seems harsh. I have the idea that colored shoes/handbag would come across as being a bit forced.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

A colourful bag maybe ?
You could also wear the jacket and pants seperately -and team them with colourful pieces :flower:
I agree with you that it would be a pity to cover the drape with a scarf.

tineuviel...
seems like an evening look to me...
i would say that all black is powerfully chic and elegant...
however...
i would try to add some different texture for interest....
id-blk patent or satin shoes...
perhaps a blk snakeskin clutch...or velvet clutch...

i would wear gold jewelry...
the gol will 'warm' up the black...

ie-a bold gold cuff or bangle or charm bracelet
and
possibly a gold 'abstract leaf' pin at the shoulder...
OR
a small gold charm on a fine chain at the neck

i love the neckline on that jkt...
i would also really like to see that jkt worn with a full skirt...

i totally love this look but dunno what top to wear! any ideas?

Something a little punky like a black t-shirt with grommets, silver, and edgy off-the-shoulder sleeves?

Unless those boots are brown (I can't tell from the pic). In that case I wouldn't really go with a black shirt necessarily... If they are brown I am not really getting any ideas off the top of my head. A cute turquoise or purple sweater with a really wide, curled-under type neckline?

with all the texture in the tights and everything going on with the boots..
i def think you need to wear something simpler on top...
a t nk or little swtr maybe...something dark in a solid colour...

What should I wear over this dress?

I just got this awesome dress from Meghan in, and I will be going to New York next week. I'd love to wear it, but brrrrr....
What could I wear with it to stay warm inside, but still look good?

Any ideas?
Really, any ideas at all on how to complete the outfit would be great, or should I just wait and wear when it's warm?

I'm new to this thread and love it already:heart: Though I'm scared a little to even think of all the possible combinations of wearing clothes and foot-wear:lol: Still, I need trying!
I've bought high-heeled swede boots to match my new coat but the problem is when I take it off they don't match my outfit at all:cry: I don't know what tights to wear or what type of skirt.....Exept this it's getting cold here so I need not only perfect look but also keep warm:D
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

you could obviously wear jns tucking into the boots with a long swtr...

or of course a full skirt with blk or grey tights...
any bright colour tights would also be good...
i'm liking red, green, yellow, purple, teal...

it's pretty easy really...
nice jkt and boots..:flower:

i don't think this thread really works...
no one ever seems to look at it or answer...or else someone posts a new question before the last one has really been answered...

anyone else feel this way?...:ermm:...
