caffeine...
honestly...if i have to hear one more time about your size......
shop in the kids dept if you have to...
and that is what a tailor is for...
come on!!......

i was a sz 0-2 when i was your age as well and i know from experience that even a pr of $50 bcbg pants look like they are viktor and rolf if you have them tailored properly...:flower:

don't get victimized by the labels...
just look for good quality and shapes that flatter your body...
and work with your lifestyle of course...

:D

...actually...come to think of it...
i have a pr of viktor and rolf pants in your size with the tags still on them...

:innocent:...

and contemporary size zero is NOT big......
that is ridiculous!!...

...
maybe you need to shop in asia?...

I have no patience for returns myself ... :ninja: I do it when I have to, but it wastes so much time and postage  I would love to have the money GG spends on postage and losses on store credits--I could really buy something

SERIOUSLY!!!......

believe it or not, I wear M or L in asia
and the waist difference b/w a prada 38 and Alexander McQueen 38 is about 2" (same style). Size is an issue, maybe not for you, but for me and lots of my asian friends.
tailors are very expensive here(should be even more expensive in NYC?). I try not to use them. altering pants will cost me $30-$50 and my average pant cost is only $100 each.

out of curiosity, why do you lose store credits?

nowadays BCBG pants cost $200+ (size 0s are gone within days when they hit the store :ninja: ), so my current best choice is theory outlet where I can get pants for about $100 each.
I used to wear BR size 0, AT 0 or 2p, express 0, etc. but now the sizes are larger...I think that they changed the measurment a yr ago. For me, labels are good indicators of sizes...no kidding...you have no clue. when you were size 0, people did make size 0. now they don't :innocent:
Lots of my asian friends actually ask their moms to mail clothes from asian for them...not an effective way at all, but the size works.
oh well, I stop complaining.

you are like my little friend whose size 0 pants fall off her hips...
poor thing...
but you shouldn't complain!
get them tailored, it's the only way to go!

i tried on a pair of pants the other day at banana... it's been a while since i've shopped there...
i was swimming in my usual size 4 when i *jokingly* asked the salesman:
have your sizes gotten bigger or am i finally losing some weight?
to which he replied:
oh no, our sizes have gotten much bigger!!
:ninja:

That is hilarious, calexico. If I have money to start a business, I will make true size 0 in affordable price. seriously. Venture capitalist anyone?

I can name more if you want to listen to me more...I tried all the brands in saks and neiman's contemporary department. I was desperate. The only one works is Theory 00. I know that certain brands carry my size such as Prada, MJ, Stella McCartney, and Balenciaga, but I can't afford buying everything from them...hey back to topic, I think that you guys have given me very good ideas...:flower:

no thanks..i think i've heard quite enough...
...

and i will keep it all in mind...
:D

Caffine, in order of the ones I like the best with that blue skirt, #1, #4, #3. I really do NOT like the last one. #2 is not a great color combo IMO.

PS. About the looking "small" in #4, it can look fashionable, you know, delicate. Which I think it does in this case.

Caffeine I only like number 1,with the navy top.It is a difficult skirt for winter.

Have you decided to return the Moschino shoes? I like them with the skirt you posted, but the top is too austere and basic...need something a little more edgy on top.

Good luck sweetie :flower: .

Just wanted to say thanks to softgrey, chanel, and Hanne for the suggestions, I'm definitely considering them :flower:

Thank you Yasmin and Quirky!
Yasmin, I think that the gray color looks great with the skirt, but I do need one more layer otherwise it's too grayish allover.
Quirky, I'm still thinking. Those shoes are too cute to pass, but at the same time they are not very practical as they are not everyday shoes. I will take my time to decide.

I'm sticking to my own colour choices and going with the navy and purple combos.
When I said purple, I really meant like a deep browny purple. Burgandy!
I agree with Soft....with the purple top, you could wear a navy jacket or cardigan.
But the easiest way would be to wear the navy top and wear a grey cardigan with navy tights.

Out of the looks, I actually think the fourth is the strongest. It's quite muted but I like that. I mean I think in a way the skirt could be quite overpowering if you wear a lot of other 'strong' garments with it, it's like a competition. Simplicity for me!

Would you wear this?

In theory it's OK for me..but I feel like the cat with the boots...

Do you think it would look better with a mini skirt or a really short dress instead of the trousers?

It would defenitely look better with longer legs..but I can't do anything about that...:(
