What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

on the runway, and in hot pink, I hated these open toed boot things.

but when I saw them on the (useless) Prada Website, in a yummy brown, I kind of like them.

My question is- how would you wear these?

under jeans? or . . .

what?

I just don't know. I like the brown and the VERY high heel:p , but I cant imagine how one would wear these.

I just bought the Michael Kors Crosby boots..I think I will wear them with jeans tucked in, but I want to avoid looking hoochy since they are kinda high....any suggestions about how to do this? Thanks!

fash ho' - I'm going to have to have to put some thought into the shoes. So adorable though! I'm glad you were tempted. Love your ideas for the leopard pumps. I also think red is always a nice contrast to leopard. Are the Geiger's suede? Off the top of my head, I'm picturing them with a full white or light colored skirt w/ a more saturated top in one of the colors out of the shoe :flower:

martinion - a super girly skirt or dress for the cowboy boots. Something to contrast the toughness of the boot ;)

stilettogirl - :ninja: I'd go with your first instinct on those boots...

siennakate - I've never thought of those boots as hootchie... if your concerned about it though, go with a top that gives you lots of coverage to counter the boots. For example, a boyfriend style sweater or a turtleneck.

thanks curious. light skirt with those suede emerald green shoes, for sure. so maybe i will wait until the snow melts here . . . .

more random purchases, this time on ebay (so only $10 or so)

A really old, silk satin bedjacket cape, in ivory with a tiny hint of blue. Its in great condition and very glamorous. I have a ivory silk short-sleeved blouse that works really well underneath but what 'bottom' would go with it. Toughened up with jeans, or maybe a skirt instead? It could be one of those things that i love but never sees the light of day . . . .

Also, a vintage tartan mohair mini-cape (I am cape-crazy). Its cute but really quite pointless (much like most of my wardrobe). Any brilliant ideas?

I just bought these shorts today:
ImageHandler.ashx

They look really good with just a basic black or brown heel. I've seen the celebrity's wear these kind of shorts with blouse or a tank and often a dark jacket.

I am thinking about wearing black tights with them if I want to wear them anytime soon because it is so cold out.

Forever 21 Rolled Sleeve Top $13.80
Rue 21 Menswear Short $20
Target Mossimo Wedge $22

The outfit I put together above seems cute, but I can't figure out what type of jewelry to wear with it, perhaps gold accessories?

If anyone has any ideas about a cute top or accessories to wear with these shorts, I'm interested, :D

^ You could also go with wooden accessories, chunky cream or even chunky black jewelry ;) I also think a boyfriend style sweater would be cute with them in the winter with your tights. Welcome to tFS :flower:

Fash Ho' - I like both of your ideas with the satin bedjacket... it would just depend on the occassion. Jeans for something casual and a skirt or trousers for a dressier occassion. I'd keep the bottom simple since the cape itself is pretty special. I wouldn't call it "brilliant", but I see the second cape with jeans or cords. Definitely casual!

thanks heb and curious, good to get your opinions . . .

might try both ways with the mini-cape to see what happens.

The 'scottish librarian' look description cracked me up; with hair in a bun and half-moon spectacles would be the perfect ode to my aunt nan from inverness . . . .but actually a cute idea with a tweedy skirt

Sure. I wear them with black woollen tights, a flowy layered top and a cardi or a huge silk shawl. The nicole-outfits work very well w/tights, I think. But please - no leggins. That would be sad.

jejej i think the same as you with leggins this outfits would be awful!!!
but i don´t know what "flowy layered top " and "shawl." means...can you help me by saying me this words in another way??
thanks for your help
kisses

Oh. Nicole is wearing a flowy layered top in the 2nd pic i posted. A shawl is something you wrap around your shoulders, like here (it doesn't have to be that big, though):

A top, a cardigan and perhaps a necklace. Of course with tights and flats.
