I feel like a straight-leg/boot-cut would cover the details in the shoe, so that's an emphatic NO...Skinny jeans would work, but if, God willing, I ever do find these shoes, then I'd have to find skinny jeans, which Im not too fond of..Any ideas?

i like it when you wear no colour really and then just add red shoes as a 'highlight'...

i don't think you can go wrong with red shoes....
red is a 'neutral'....goes with most things...

How do I work this outfit out?
First, let me preface this by saying the plaid & floral print STAYS..but what can I do to break up all the patterns?

The inspiration for this came from this pic of Erin O'Connor, she's the one on the floor (pic from bwgreyscale, but borrowed from her thread here)..

So, like Erin, can I do a plain single-colored vest/waistcoat? I have a navy blue ascot that I plan on wearing w/ it as well..I think that since the shirt/pants are such bold colors, then all the additional pieces/accessories, must be more subdued...What pieces, and what colors? (and yes, cufflinks would be involved too)..

Any suggestions?

You could wear ballet flats, or I wear converse style trainers with combats sometimes, definatly something flat

Any ideas what I could wear with this? Its a brown polka dot top, bit puffy at the bottom, just long enough to cover my bum.

Looks alright over jeans but not amazing.

Converse style trainers... definitely!! Or canvas skimmers, flip flops, birks.. tucked into a flat riding style boot

Amerie - I want to try that with cream trousers for some reason And maybe a stacked wooden heel or platform.. chunky wooden bangles or beads.
