What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

pasu -- I recently saw someone in white pants, a black button down shirt and white tie and they looked so nice. Made me wish I could look good in white pants! I'd wear white underwear underneath, or even maybe longer underwear so that you dont see the lines?

Visconti -- I definatly preffer it with the sleeves up, with all the volume of the top as well as the scarf the long sleeves seem to be a bit much. It's hard to tell w/o seeing them on, but I think I like the darkest brown pants next to the leather ones the best. The scarf looks good all the ways you showed, and maybe you can wear it like on the runway and just use a saftey pin to secure it? I think I would preffer it tucked, but it could work either way depending on how casual/formal you want to dress, untucked it looks much more beachy while tucked I imagine it to look more edgy with the long scarf.

I actually like it with the blazer- not to cover it up, but to reign in all the volume- and the grey is a nice contrast to the yellow

My queries are always for vintage clothes - anyhow.

Okay this vintage thick, slubby linen jacket with blue flowers. They have come up as super-blue but they are not that obnoxious.

When I bought it, i saw something Paul Smith about it - deluded maybe.
I just can't really make it work.

wearing it open with the white vest makes the pattern look less dominating which makes it work.

I think it looks good personally.

I like it worn open too- but not with white-

or with jeans

I'd wear it with something like this
- gray wide-ish trousers
- layered tanks -light blue and brown/green
- black sandals
- ivory bag

but I am going try it with different pants and toning colored vests. Thanks for the suggestions, Stilletto. i love when you get a compiled outfit like that!

Thanks for the advice. I'll try it with the brown pants later tonight. The blazer is tricky because I don't have the matching pants. I normally wear it with black and that may not work. I do have a pair of grey Lindeberg pants. I'll see how all of that fits together.

I recently bought a pair of white pants. It is the first white pants, I have ever had. The problem is, it is a bit translucent.
So my question is, what color/kind of underwear should I wear with it? And also what color shoes would be the best to wear with white pants? Would a black leather boots be fine? And what color/kind of top would be the best suit?
Please help.
BTW, I am male.

Don't wear white! it will just show through as being white! Get underwear that matches your skin tone. If you are a white male, then get something 'nude' colored. If you are darker, get something with more chocolate or tan tones in it. Thats really the only way not to have underwear show through

I think jeans and red heels or flats and a red belt with this top. Unless you didn't want to wear it casual, then maybe you could pair it with either a black pencil skirt or maybe tulip skirt??

With the red shirt you could go with jeans as well if you want casual and some shiny black shoes. I think a black skirt would work well with this one too.

I don't think it is obnoxious at all!!! I really like the pants and shoes stilleto girl suggested you wear with it.

so..my bf has a birthday party on saturday in a cool club. so i thought i wear a little nice dress cause the weather is nice etcetc. BUT now i don't know which shoes should i wear with it?! what do you think ? i don't want to wear high heels because i'm quite tall and we'll be dancing all nite (hope so !) maybe black ones? or my silver sparkling ballerinas or boots ?! I need some help...

next saturday I´m going out with some girls from work, we´re going to a libanese (spelling?) restaurant, and then we´re going to some club.

I am planning on wearing black opaque pantyhoses with black shorts over them, the shorts go down to above the knee, and I am wearing black pumps with that.
what should I wear above the waist? I have no clue whatsoever....

help!
