What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

Hey, I think I figured out an outfit for the lacy tights. I am just asking for a green light or a "go back to the drawing board" from you guys. And please excuse the messy room and dirty mirror. Feel free to notice the cat:p. Also, I feel funny sometimes because I do have the same interests that this site caters to but I am anything but a rich girl. The dress is from express, the tights are from target, and the shoes are from Charlotte Russe!:ninja: P.S. I think I will x-post in "does this work" thread. Thank you for feedback!:flower:

eeks! I noticed the seam on my tights is twisted to the side! I'll have to be careful of that.

I have this leather skirt but I don't really have any great ideas what to wear it with?

I am not sure how high or low it sits on your waist or how long it is so I can't tell you what style, but I would wear a cream or ivory silk or satin blouse with it. Just because I like to have luxurious textures mixed together like silkiness and leather. ANd I think a creamy white would go with that shade of brown.

As the skirt has this detail I'd wear it with some simple form fitting top like this RICK OWENS sweater
GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI BALLET SHOES
CELINE bag in fabric and a blue jeans jacket /simpler than the DG shown here - all from LVR.com

pinksatin - The outfit looks cute, but the shoe seems a bit off. Maybe try a darker colored, closed toe shoe, maybe even ankle boots? White lace tights are hard to pull off. Another outfit idea may be a black tuxedo ensemble: black evening jacket with black cropped pants paired with lace leggings and jewel toned shoes.

thanks pinkpolo. I was trying to do light shoes to be more subtle but according to feedback, they just stand out more. I'm definitely gonna look for some darker shoes. I think a dk purple or blue though, not black. Thank you for the tux idea too. I'm still trying to come up with more ideas so thanks a bunch!:flower:

I could probably do a jersey dress and flats for an everyday casual for school outfit.

I agree with that

I'm in the air about the shoes though. A leather skirt says winter- and with skirts in winter I wear boots-

but leather skirt + Leather boots would be Too much so I don't know

pinksatin: No prob. Black shoes would be overkill so go with plum colored, maybe? The outfit depends on where you plan to wear it. For school, it'll be fine to pair the tights with flats and that dress. And for evening wear, you can dress it up more!

Yes I think it is OK with boots but I'd get suede boots like these and a thiker sweater

with this bag? - I also do not like leather skirt with leather bag.

Thanks for all the great advice. By biggest problem is also the shoes.
I love the Rick Owen sweater. It would be great because it is so simple. .....

Could this be worn with something other than a contrasting short sleeved dress-shirt or t-shirt? :ninja:

I just purchased this vintage red jumpsuit (it looks alittle orange in the photo but its a true lipstick/fire engine red) & was wondering what could I wear with it to dress it up & down? What shoes, accessories etc could I add to it to make it more fun & fashionable?
Thanks. :flower:

That's amazing! It may seem that i have too much self-confident, but i really love jumpsuits but consider them one of the few things (together with skirts and dresses) i can't pull off, unfortunately. I think's it's all about making it more "funky" and less "mechanic":

The shoes make the look more fun and youthful, while the jewellery makes it a little more "dark" and serious. The vintage-looking belt is from Malene Birger and should be worn around the waist.

I love all those looks... Thanks so much you two. :flower:

All those heels hee hee... I love them but do you think theres a casual shoe I could wear too?

I was thinking I could rolled up the legs to make it look a little more casual?
Also wondering if it would look cute with a prada style headband? Or would that be to over the top vintage looking?

A headband would be cute. ok flats would be cute too let me find some but done roll the legs up. I think it looks casual without the legs rolled up.
