What college do/did you go to?

did you transfer?

I would hate for someone to settle for a school they weren't happy at.

No Driver I didn't.
They were a private college so they take you money in full before you start.
They do not refund and majority of their students never graduate because they mucked around by the staff members and career department.
They do fashion design too.

I work in fashion now and if I can help any one in Sydney with work experience, please pm me.

FBI did by no way help me get to where I am today, at one stage they actually ruined one of my career interviews, advertised incorrect information about me and a lot more. My friends all have similar stories to tell - some far more worse.

I hope this helps some one out there trying to decide on a fashion school.

The thing that matters is that you ended up doing something you loved. sorry about the bumpy road leading there though.:flower:

Even though we pay through the nose for an education here in America I'm glad to say that we do so on a semester basis and not all at once. That would probably be illegal here.

Also, congratulations to all those who have been recently accepted to the schools of their choice and good luck to those still waiting to here back. We would all love to hear updates from both. =)

Haha, cool! There are a bunch of people who aren't Mormons who go here.
does "bff" mean "best friend forever" or "boy ffriend"?

yah! i know! i heard! thats why i thought about it.
but its super strict there. i mean... the first few months my friend started... she was dying! hahahha! so i would always randomly call her regardless of time and be ********! hahhaha!

bestfriend forever! hahaha! if it was the other one... i think i would have to be a mormon! hahah!

what are you majoring in?

:o oh my gosh! that is terrible!
but im happy that all is well now and you're enjoying what you're doing!

yeah... FIDM is a private one too! but its really a great school. i really encourage a lot of people who are looking for a school to go there. its only my second quarter but i love it already. the teachers and staff are just amazing! they really help you with everything. the facilities, programs, and supplies are GREAT! everything is practically handed to us!
And they really help you out with job opportunities and internships. even voluteering for fashion week.

Hey guys! Sorry to crash your convo but do either of you know how recognised the journalism program is at BYU? I'm in Sydney atm doing Journalism/International Studies at UTS but mum wants me to go to BYU so I can meet a nice church boy, yadda yadda. Do you think I'd have any chance of working in fashion mags in NY?
TIA!!

hahaha! its totally fine!
let me just say wow!!! you're gonna trade Sydney for Provo aka "middle of nowhere" according to my friend! hahaha!
well im not so sure about any of their programs but i'll definitely ask my friend!

Yeah I've been there, I know lol! My brother want to BYU but did some... computer-y degree. So he doesn't really know about journalism. But yeah, I sorta think I have a better chance of getting to NY if I'm in the country already, if that makes sense?
Thanks for asking!!

Annettella-
So, BYU is a huge university, and you'll be able to find what you want to do here. Here is the Communications website: http://cfac.byu.edu/
I have no idea what your chances of working in fashion would be, but I do know that we have an amazing communications departments (journalism is part of the communications dept.) and I forget what it was, but one part was ranked 1st in the states recently (I think maybe broadcast journalism). Good luck with your decision  PM me if you have any more questions or you need me to find something out for you.

I didn't search the whole thread, so maybe this has been answered, but just out of curiousity, did/does anyone go to Eugene Lang: The New School for Liberal Arts?

I go to Florida State University where i'm pursuing fashion merchandising [go noles:wink:]

I officially graduated from the University of Westminster in November. .. other designers that went there include Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Bailey, Stuart Vevers, Michael Herz, Markus Lupfer.
