What do you do with your fashion mags?

I'm a hoarder, I have bookshelves and boxes full! I like the mood board idea though, sounds cool! Please post pics of your mood/inspiration boards... would love to see...

There not worth money not matter how old they are. I used to re-sell them on ebay but the postage is alot so you don't make much money unless it's french Vogue which I sold for £22.

I used to keep them but had so much and kept moving so i threw them and regretted it. I always end up throwing them out and rip the good parts out first. Who wants to spend all their time looking through old magazines? At least thats what I tell myself.

I took out a subscription to so many magazines though!

A good thing to do to seehow good the magazine is to rip out the part that you either don't like or are not interesting and see how thick the magazine is.

that looks so great susie bubble! i do a similar thing, i cut out the vogue views, life with andres, or pages from the index f vogue and also bazaars runway reports and pin the ones i like up on a bulletin board on my closet door. right now it is a bazaar runway report on black and white and a page from a vogue index from november 2004 "mood for love"!

i tear out all the pages and create conceptual collage art. A fashion magazine has a perfect amalgamation of consumerism and aesthetes.

Aww... I wish I could tear them out. But I'm just as much a fan of the page layouts as the models and clothes. I just love magazines as a whole.

I also keep every mag that I buy.. Usually Spanish and US Vogue. I'm in the middle of a move right now, so I think me and my mags will have to part ways.

Well, who wants to look though a sucky mag, and who want to look at an old sucky mag. However, when you've got good editors and great photographers (and models) - you can look at it however old the mags are. And the older they are - the rarer they get - and more expensive.

I never read the mags, though, really. It's just so boring and they say about the same things now as they did 30 years ago. 40 years ago, though, there it gets interesting, especially Bazaar. I do flinch at the "out there" style of the 60s editors - they seem like they were ALL on acid, even though I'm suuure they weren't (especially not if you ask them).

I hoard them all too! I can never part with my mags.... I'm thinking of instead of passing down expensive bejewelled gold rings to my grandchildren, I'm just going to pass down my vogues instead (and they better never trash them!)

Hey guys i feel your pain i could never tear them up i cant insteed i exchange them with my girlfriends.I always buy Vouge my friends buy Hapers Bazar,Elle etc and after we read them we exchange them but always retourne them back.But i will never throw them away!

You can find past Vogue's and almost any other magazine on ebay. If you are patient the issue you want is bound to turn up at some point. I just recently scored 3 issues of Vogue China. I got the 1st one today Nov 2005 and it is great.

I've gotten so many good magazines on ebay though! I've been happy with them all.

I usually keep them in boxes, organise them by seasons. I simply can't throw them out. I reckon I'm too obsessive with my mags... And I could never tear them or "maim" them in any other way. I just can't... I'm trying to find a good magazine shelf/folder that could keep my mags organised so I could refer to them whenever I needed to. Anyone know any good brands providing those kinds of stuff?

NO Lena! lol. Send them to moi. I'd pay for shipping and loads of bubble wrap. And maybe a Buckingham Palace armed guard to see they aren't manhandled, just in case.

i only save vogues, i-d and elles since they are so damn expensive here.. rest of the magazine that i have subscription on i just simply throw away (this includes cosmopolitan and few finnish fashionmagazines) because you can find the exact pictures from vogues and the editorials are way much better in "real" fashion magazine than in finnish ones
