What do you do with your fashion mags?

i have a very difficult time throwing away fashion mags,i remember one time i tore out my fav ads ,editorials and ect out of W ,BIZZAR and VOGUE ect. and gave the rest away to my sister to use in her beauty salon, i then regreted it months later when i seen pictures that initaly didin't catch my eye but now i loved. i did seceretly steal them back and replaced them with old Tean, tean people, sventeen and a bunch of teany bopper mags. which were the type of magazines i bought when i was younger, why?Nsync and the rest of the teen scene, when i think of how much money i wasted to buy all their crap, and magazines with them on the cover, it makes me sick.
anyways keep my fashion mags in piles or scattered on the floor in my, i go through them all the time and rip out models or art like pictures and put them on the wall. i will one day create a file system.
a question for people who have internatinal magazines. is it possible for me to subscibe for french, italy and brittish VOGUE when o live in the US or will i just have to settle for buying them in a special magazine store?

oops, mis print i ment to say i keep my magazine on the floor of my bedroom

Generally, I throw them out. However, if there's a particular issue that I find really special, I'll save it.

i rip out pages that i like and save them in a binder. i also cut things out for collages and then i throw the magazines away because they take up too much space.

I save all of my foreign Vogues....for that price I just can't part with them. And there always seems to be at least one spread/article that I want to keep for various reasons. They are so much better than US Vogue.

Ok, good question. Since i'm SO crazy about magazines, i buy SO many, so i can't store them. I spent a lot of money on mags because i don't like greek magazines, except for Vogue Hellas, and all the others (american, english, french) are really expensive (7-9euros). I buy something like 9 mags per month.

So The only mag i keep is Vogue Hellas. I have every single one. Other than that i keep sometimes US Vogue. I give the rest to friends and only if i like an article or ed, i keep it.

Three Words - Muji Magazine Files

I have about 50 of these files all lined up on my shelves. I keep Vogue and any foreign mags coz they're pricey. I love reading old issues.

i keep all issues of my foreign magazines (namely paris vogue and i-D) and NYLON...and if other magazines have a particularly good issue, i'll save that...
other than that, after i go through each mag and gather all articles or editorials i want to save, i recycle.

nevertheless...i've got 3 storage boxes under my bed stuffed with magazines and editorials :p

how many magazines

How many magazines do you have? Do you keep them after reading? I was shocked to discover that mine were approaching 100!

I to go through and take out pics/ideas I like for a Style file I keep in a ring binder. Then I take the newest /undamaged ones to a used bookstore for resale, I usually get trade credit. The rest I take to my gym (its made me a big hit with the elliptical runner set) or to the hospital near me for the unfortunate folks that'll be sitting in the emergency room. I hate throwing things that are still usable away.

I have around 300 magazines , I've been collecting them since I was 16 (I'm 26 and I almost know my favourite issues by heart) , I used to have more of them when I was younger . Every year , I sort of pick the ones that I don't want anymore and give them to secretaries I know or throw them .

I keep any good articles. When the magazine is old enough I use as art collage material. I also like to save some so I can practice drawing, lookings at pictures of the models.

Keep the good ones,
rip the edits., pics., articles, I like out,
or give them to my cousin or sister.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I brought those Pop albums and I still can't believe I subscribed to Seventeen. They're covers now include:
"Get Perfect Hair"
"Guys Confess: Clothes They  On You"
"The Hair Issue" (two months after "Get Perfect Hair" BTW)
"GET A TINY WAIST This Workout Really Works!"

*real subtitles by the way*
I don't think anyone understands how much I detest this magazine...

And to your question:
Amazon.com is where all your searches will end. :flower:

I used to buy about 2-4 magazines per month, but now I'm desperately trying to save money, so I've cut it down to 1-2 carefully selected magazines.
I've tried saving my old magazines, but eventually I end up throwing them away or giving to my friend (who never has the time to read them, so her room is full of them...but she likes clutter).

I read them and save them. Some editorials/ads I like get cut and I use them as collages/journal pages/graphics and etc!

I have binders FULL of articles and TONS of model tear sheets...Some favs get their own binders (I think Kate was the first...) and it grows and grows. The real bad turning point was when the celeb weeklys got involved, how can you not get a Model Meltdown cover issue of US?! So now I NEED them too!!
This is an addiction, I think..I'll never get caught up; but I enjoy it, even if everyone thinks I'm nuts! (And I'm a straight, single guy, too!! Amazing huh...!)

I'm saving all of mine to make large collages of different models five years from now :)

It's amazing how many different fashion mags there are nowadays, though...there's just not enough money to buy them all! I hate how retail prices here in the US of foreign versions (Which usually have amazing edits) are all around $15 each :(

Yup. I have quite a few older Vogues (which I hate to rip up) and seeing Karen Mulder and Cindy et al. is SO different from today's girls..Not really better, they were distant in some way..A lot of today's girls seem very friendly and approachable (of course they're also like 16 years old! The Sups frpm the 80s weren't that young...)

I have a hard time throwing any of them out, I now have a seperate bookcase just for Vogue; I'd like to have all of Anna's issues someday (since fall '88) but I have to get rid of a lot of Elle and Bazzar first. Someone suggested I give the rest to a nursing home, not a bad idea!!:D

Shelf life

Is sounds like the average shelf life of a magazine once it enters the door is one hour to indefinetly.
