i am sixteen and living in new york city, therefore, i do not have a car, no need...and i dont think im even ALLOWED but honestly on the weekends and during the summer we go to the hamptons and there we have three cars because my dad makes commercials for them, black mercedes S500 (i think that is one hell of an ugly car) black Range Rover and a black Lincoln Navigator. hmm...notice a color trend? my family likes black.

Here's the catch, we didn't pay a dime for them so don't go tellin me I'm lying haha. I have my permit for the hamptons and i am ONLY allowed to drive the mercedes because the other two are "too big for such a small girl"...dad language for, you mess up my cars, i mess YOU up.

i think these things are asking for trouble, personally...
but as long as people are respectful, i guess not too much harm can be done..

Fashionista101: I dont think they are lying, but I must agree with you than, myself, I dont have a car and I borrow my parent's Mazda Protege 2003 cu z I dont rush in high money. But the question was '' what car are you guys driving'' so I guess everybody as his right to tell his car, even if its a Ferrari or a MAserati and it makes sick alot of us ( of jealousy )

edit: Just realize that the people who wrote Ferrari Enzo, Maserati are telling their DREAM car cuz the topic says the car you own OR dream about...

Well I'm enjoying this thread. It's interesting seeing the cars people drive or aspire to drive. I love cars and I've loved every car I've ever owned (and I've owned a few rust buckets in my life). Keep 'em coming.

Since I think cars are only a form of transportation, I would never spent over 40k on a car. Its only putting your money on the road for someone else to damage it, possibly without even being able to cover repair costs. Plus the higher insurance, etc..

I don't drive yet, but when I do get a car, I would like a Nissan Z. I don't think my dad would even buy that, he will probably get some junky old car from a junkyard for my first car. LOL.

PS- I am not impressed by the car someone drives, I have seen Bentley and Rolls Royce cars pull up into rental apartments, LOL

alright anyways...

my husband recently got an audi A8, i have never really though of audis as a luxury car, but it is very very attractive...the interior is fantastic, the whole car is black interior with deep brown seats and deep brown alcantra insets on the doors...and then tv's in the headrests and special "rims" , men and their toys.

currently i drive a 1997 white S320 with grey interior, i cant part with it. its always is going to be one of my favorite cars. my husband suggested i should get a new S, i might...as long as i can keep my old one . But i am not sure...im not crazy about what they did to the body of the S class...

...i heard they are going back to a modified version of the old shape in 2007, so maybe i will wait until then.

what do we think about the Jaguar XJ Vanden Plaus?

I hate audis... only because I hit some guy who was driving one (I was idling!!!) and i put a tiny scratch in his bumper.. and it cost me 500 bucks..

Audis used to be cheap cars, but some years ago they decided to "re-brand" if I understood it correctly. "Audi" has cheap connotations for me, I remember when they did crappy cars...

You have to be a real car buff to understand all the abbreviations and nicknames.. and all of that... My bf knows all that crap.. I on the other hand.. read it like you do... .a bunch of numbers and letters.

I heard that as well, and even though I kind of like the new S, I don't think it has the same presense that the last one did.

As far as Jaguar is concerned I don't know if I could buy a $75,000 that has similar styling to a Ford Taurus. I really wish they had kept the old XJ, it was such a beautiful car. I know it would probably look dated now, but there is something about the new one that just looks like a cheap, American version of the old one.
