i have no idea where i can get it though:cry:

DuttyRock, I wasn't thinking about that dress, I was just helping out a fellow member. :) I think it would look a lot better in full length too, but it isn't really my style.

I found a really cute black lace Anna Sui dress but it has been taken off the website. Now I can't find one. I think I will go shopping this weekend. There will be no bright colored satin gowns in my future, that's for sure.

do you guys think that this is formal enough for prom? i'm really not into the typical "prom" thing. i just want to be myself and i don't feel comfortable at all in anything overly frilly or long.

personally I think that anything that is not floor length is not really dressy enough for prom, but find out what other girls will be wearing- perhaps your high school has different ideas about it than mine did

^yeah, i really don't think it's dressy enough after thinking about it for a while. a lot of people are wearing knee-length dresses, which is what i plan on doing.

I think it's pretty dressy, I was just thinking the length wasn't right.

if everyone else is wearing knee lenght then it would be fine as far as I'm concerned

Yay...prom is in two weeks!

I didn't want anything sparkly or shiny, and it had to be black! And I'm not
even going to go into how hard it was to find a floor-length dress to fit me
at 5'2"! I love the floral pattern...definitely made for a Florida girl.

So this is my dress... its for a sort of junior prom (our school combines Jr and Sr):

I don't know if I really like it but whatever, it was cheep and my mom liked it and I didn't feel like going anywhere else. I figure for senior prom I'll get something that I really like. Anyway any ideas for make-up with it?

I'd say don't go too dark with your eyes. Smoky eyes would look out of place with such a "light" dress, ya know? Natural makeup would probbaly be best.

I would go for gold-MAC Goldmine would be a nice one. Either that or a buttery yellow. Another good look would be a light brown eyeliner with natural lips because the dress doesn't call for a ton of makeup.

With such a "pretty" springtime type dress, I'd do light makeup. rosy cheeks and lips, minimal eye makeup.

Alrighty, thanks guys!
Its way too frilly for me so I was a little unsure about what to do

Can someone find me Red(preferably satin) ballet flats?????

Does anyone know what the hair piece is called/where I can find one?

^ that's a sass and bide one i believe

i had my 'prom' the other night. it was suprisingly alot of fun ^_^
here is my dress and shoes -

My prom is Saturday! I would never, ever in a million years wear a poufy, long, princessy dress so this is my dress, except mine is black:

sh

I'm planning on wearing it with a little jacket type thing, a silver multichain necklace and red shoes, preferably red, patent peeptoe pumps. So yeah, I know I'll be super casual compared to other but I've stopped caring. I hate long dresses and I hate poufy, glittery things even more. I'd much rather wear something casual, simple and MY style then suffer in something I hate.

And to the girl asking about the DVF dress, it's YOUR prom, no one else's! I think any fashion icon would've worn what they were comfortable with, including DVF who has rocked her dress in all sorts of occasions for years. I don't see the point of wearing something you don't like just to fit the occasion.

awww, everyones prom dresses look gorgeous, its making me nostalgic and my prom was only 2 years ago

^ wow! I bet you looked gorgeous in that delicately flawless dress!
