Which of Today's Models Have the Most Lasting Power?

She's already been around for a pretty long time, so I think that proves her staying power in itself...

Yes, she has been around for long and I think she has the power to stay even longer and maybe even still work in her thirties and that is to do with her looks. She is beautiful in a classic way, not just young and pretty and she's coming to an age when many models are fading away, 'cause their youngish looks are gone and I don't think it will be the case with Eugenia

Karolina also has a really high runway rate, so not everyone can afford her. I rememember her saying a few seasons ago she was only doing runway for friends.

Do you guys think Valentina has staying power? I think she's the most classically beautiful current model but she's also sort of boring. I can't decide.

I think she does. I somehow can see her still around and doing well in a several years time. And despite of that she's not my personal favourite I really hope she will be around for long.

I agree about Amanda especially. At first I dismissed her as just another tough chick in the vein of Omahyra but there's something intense, intelligent and commanding about Amanda's face that keeps your attention.

I think Eugenia Volodina has this staying power in her looks. I also think that Daria Werbowy and Natalia have the potential for that, but I don't think that either of them is interested in modeling enough to still be around in 10 years time. As to Natalia, I don't even think it will be 5 years time.
Those who I think don't have it are all the clones (Sasha Pivovarova, Ruslana and many others I don't even remember), all this young, angel-like Polish girls (they are beautiful, but their appeal is so to do with their young age, it will go away as they get just a few years older). As to Gemma Ward, this is tricky. 'Cause on one hand her appeal is also very age-dependent and the niche she's at now will obviously be gone for her in less than 5 years time, but on the other hand she is unique as the one who started the whole new trend in the industry (or so it looks now), and, usually such girls stay on like in that example of Kate Moss someone gave earlier.


Nothing in what I said above has anything to do with whom I actually like or whom I myself want to see for longer

By the way, talking about Kate Moss I somehow can still see her around in whatever years time and as BIG as she is now. I simply can't imagine that Kate Moss can really be gone one day.

It's hard to believe that Lily Cole is a model. Her body seems disproportionate to me and her walk is terrible, just dead and useless. She is not so photogenic.. her spreads always look akward and over the top exagarrated. She definatley wont last at all.

I love Maria Clara - gorgeous when she opened Valetino HC. Beautiful face, infectious personality.

Does anyone know how much Karolina charges for a runway show? im not being funny but she's no Kate Moss so im confused as to why designers would bend over backwards to include her in their showcasings. She's not immensley attractive anyway.

Karen gives normal people hope and the motivation to persue a modelling career. Its clearly not all about dazzling, immaculate looks. She has a very hard face. I dont think we'll see much of her. All she did this season was Giles.

I used to love Natalia-- I suppose I still do-- but at the same time she has lost all her lustre for me. Some of her new stuff is good, but... she was so much more interesting and emotive when she first arrived. (At first she was sad, sweet looking, self-possessed and seductive, very powerful in her editorials, but now she simply looks blank to me.)

I think Karen Elson has staying power . . . she is pregnant so that could be why she wasn't in too many shows this past season. But, she's been around for a while already and she recently had a 20-something page editorial in the October issue of W where she looked really amazing.

Did you see Lily in the L.A.M.B. show? The whole show was hilarious but the funniest part was Lily trying to look all tough with her clumsy, gawky walk and impotent stares. It's so mean but sadly true.

i don't think stam will last that long. her eyes are the only thing she really has going for her. doutzen and all those other ones are up there too, they all seem the same.
i don't think karen is going to disappear anytime soon and neither will mariacarla.
cinta i think has some staying power as well i think even though she's not my favorite. i don't know. i like tiiu but i'm not too sure about her.
for the big models lately, daria and julia i think are the strongest.
