Your Magazine Cover Predictions & Speculations for 2019

Probably not for 2019 - but if Adele is gearing up to release new music next year, will this see her back on the cover of US Vogue? She's already scored two big US Vogue covers (March 2012 and 2016). Maybe it's like the cover equivalent of a leap year - every four years, you get one.

In contrast, apparently her October 2011 UK Vogue cover was one of the worst-selling issues they ever had, according to Alexandra Shulman.

To be fair, Adele had just broken out that year. I remember 21 came out in January and not many people knew more songs than Someone Like You; maybe that's one of the reasons why. I'd like to see Adele back on Vogue UK now!

Not really though. 19 was released in 2008 and already did very very well. Obviously 21 made her one of the biggest singers on the planet, but she was already well known. Chasing Pavements was a big hit and Rolling In The Deep, which was released in December 2010, was MASSIVE.

US Vogue
October: Cardi B
November: Rihanna
December: Jennifer Hudson
January: Jennifer Lopez (Super Bowl announcement/new album)
February: Jennifer Lawrence

This is what I want/need. Perf lineup! Lol

J Lo has gotten major early Oscars buzz and glowing reviews from pretty much every mainstream film critic, plus there are rumors about that Super bowl performance. I call a Vogue US cover in early 2020 too!

Olivia alone would've been fine for 2019, but I'd be delighted to see Renee and Jennifer Lopez on Vogue in the next 6 months. Just not Portman again, please.

A while back I saw possibility of Blesnya Minher being on Vogue Portugal. Not so sure now.

US VOGUE 2019

In NO particular order:
ZENDAYA
RIHANNA (because she should have a cover every year)
BLAKE LIVELY
KARLIE KLOSS
SERENA WILLIAMS
THE RETURN OF LINDA EVANGELISTA
CYNTHIA ERIVO
MARGOT ROBBIE
JENNIFER HUDSON or TAYLOR SWIFT (CATS)
SCARLETT JOHANSSON
ADUT WITH OTHER “IT” MODELS
VIOLA DAVIS or TRACEE ELLIS ROSS

EXTRAS:
MICHELLE OBAMA
SJP
KATE HUDSON
90s SUPERMODELS

make that FIVE right! Vogue just needs to hire me.

Now that Zellweger and Theron are both considered front runners for the Best Actress Oscar, I'd love to see at least one get a Vogue cover - US or UK - in the upcoming months. I can see Edward snatching Charlize; he has styled her many times for W in the past and it seems to me like they'd have a good working relationship.

Maybe Renee for december US Vogue? I imagine her, or Jennifer Hudson (ft. James Corden) and the cast of Little Women -specifically Saorise and Emma and maybe with Timothee- (all of them by Leibovitz) are the best options for that month considering how festive they went last year.

I think it might be Saoirse or Meryl for Little Women to be honest. I'm pretty sure from the Vogue UK preview that Emma is on that cover, so she's out for US I think.

Oh God, nothing for Timothee, please! Yes, I'd like Vogue to at least follow Saoirse up with another cover, but I'd prefer Jennifer Hudson, Renee, or Lopez over her. Hudson especially, is way overdue for another cover.

I hope Cardi B eventually lands up on Allure and not Vogue.

With Anna personally hosting Donatella during the Vogue Fest, I'm beginning to think a Jennifer Lopez cover does seem likely.

Im convinced Anna will put James Corden and the cast of Cats on December. Full on epic visual extravaganza like when Keira did The Wizard of Oz.

I'm surprised with the lack of Helena Bonham Carter. I understand Olivia's the big star of the show, but judging by that latest trailer (and even before it came out), so is Helena! Seeing how Edward missed out on promo of what's probably the biggest (?) british show of the year, perhaps he could give her a well deserved cover. I love Emma, but I'd take Helena over her.

I recall reading on here that she'll get Harper's? Or was it Vogue? I agree though, she's tremendously underrated. It would be hard to top her Vogue cover under Alexandra though. That one is still one of my favourites.

It's a shame that HBC hasn't done more covers, because she's always been beautiful and certainly doesn't seem against experimenting with fashion.

I do notice that she once did Maxim, back in 2001, for Planet of the Apes.

I assume one of the British Fashion Council model of the year nominees will get December British Vogue By Meisel like the previous two years, Adwoa & Adut.

The only two nominees that haven’t had a British Vogue cover are Winnie Harlow or Adesuwa Aighewi.

And I hope it stays that way. Winnie is not a model and she never will be, and Adesuwa is just not interesting enough.
