That is a valid point, though. I know I can think of a dozen things offhand that I would probably spend a tenner on first. For me, as stated earlier, a manicure would be wasted, because I would only be out digging in the garden or painting a wall or working on my bike or doing something else horribly messy and ruin the nailpolish and tear up my skin and get all dirty anyway.
For the low-income tomboy like me, the best nail treatment is a nailbrush and some liquid soap. A good pair of clippers doesn't hurt either!

Leyla, your post certainly inspired me to take care that I have I M M A C U L A T E nails
I did them myself. Burgundy on the toes and just a plain clear polish on the hands.
rder: attention everyone. let us stand in a line with our hands out so that Leyla can do an inspection

. I almost never go to one of those walk-in places unless I can't get an appt at my normal place. I dunno, the Asian shops just scare me, I've never had a good experience with them and I end up leaving with bleeding cuticles or something because they're so rough and wanna get you outta there so fast. At a hair salon it's more expensive, but it's worth it if you're not gonna have your nails rot off
.

. Or worst, clay grit under your nails, ouch!
Any ways on how to stop this habit?
