YSL Tributes

Thank you, thank you, thank you ladies:blush: and unplugged, thank you!:woot:

Rosalynn, they were a smashing success with the hubby! I paired them with skinny J Brand Jeans ( cigarette JBrand 12 w/zipper ankles), a simple white tank and a buttery soft Vince leather assymetrical jacket...he was quite pleased:ninja:....

Ciao - The cobalt blue is so stunning on you! I love them so much. Congrats to you!
I would love the purple ones with the gold trim. Are they still being made?

Ciao Bella that sounds great, glad your husband loves them too! They're such great shoes, they just go with everything. I wore my leopard print ones out last night for the first time with jeans and a cascade top and they're brilliant.

I love all the spin-offs I've seen recently too. Eva Longoria was wearing a great pair of tan Tribs - I don't even know if they're officially Tributes actually, but the heel and platform's identical. I also bought a pair of YSL Obi heels in a sale recently, and they're also a spin-off of the Tribute. Just as comfortable with something new to bring to the table with a patent bow-style decor on the toe strap.

God, sorry, I could talk about Tributes all day :innocent:

does anyone know what color the patent tribute sandals came in besides black?
i saw a picture online of a cobalt blue pair (like ciao's but patent), but i can't recall seeing them in stores...

Hey kimair... YSL in SF has the French navy blue in patent (very limited sizes) and Saks has them in burgundy patent...

I have seen them as dark brown and light brown at Matches Fashion (not much help to you I guess, but they exist), and I have also seen them in tan, gold and burgandy too. Most of the other ones I've seen have either been leather or suede.

I've seen them in navy blue , dark brown ,beige and even in yellow ;)

Ooh, I've not seem them in patent yellow - seen yellow leather with stacked wood heels but never in patent. Will have to keep an eye out for those even though I suspect they're uber rare.

thanks everyone...
i'm in search for the blue patent ones for my wedding...ysl in sf didn't have my size, so they're going to try to find them at another store...

I need ur help ASAP! I'm usually a US 39, UK 6 but a friend of mine is selling a pair of the tribute in a US 38 UK 5. What do you guys think? TIA

Getting these beauties tomorrow, i preffer them to the ones from A/W (suede ones) as i think i can wear them all year long, the other ones are more wintery looking, still very nice though

^ Holy crap those are gorgeous  They're my second favorite to the platform sandals!

Oh and, vickycookie, I think you should get the tributes in your actual shoe size, even if it means paying a little more. I wouldn't take the risk if I were you! And a shoe size too small really puts your feet in a vulnerable position... really prone to ingrown nails.

Vickycookie Tributes I find are normally TTS but I agree with michyed, don't go for the smaller size, if they're in your size they're one of the comfiest shoes going vs height.

beduina those TribToos are gorgeous. I love them in suede but I agree the patent is more versatile. TribToos are really comfy too, what colour soles are yours going to have? Neutral beige? Some have bright yellow or blue.

beduina you're gonna love them. i went for the shorter heel cause it's way more 'useful', but i did try both on and they're amazing. among my favourite shoes ever.

(my soles are golden. i guess the sole changes on the fabric of the shoe. i guess patent have them in yellow, leather in blue and mine that are some strange shiny-worked leather are golden. i might be wrong though)

I think the colour of the sole varies from where you buy them from - YSL boutiques got one colour, department stores another etc. But I might be wrong.

Rosalynn: I just bought them, they have like a golden sole, the sa said the ones with the blue sole were from last years a/w.I had a look and most of the shoes have a gold or white sole.
Mistress_f: thanks! I ll be posting pics shortly

i dont know. maybe they made the soles randomly? lol. i got mine last year from a ysl boutique and they're golden

I thought the ysl stores got yellow soles and neimans, saks, barneys, etc got blue soles. I have the blue soles which I preffer.
