Yves Saint Laurent "Opium" Fragrance : Emily Blunt by Patrick Demarchelier

lol. I don't even know what to say. This just can't be the official campaign shot. I know ads are gradually become worse and worse, but at least it's gradual. If this is the actual shot, then it's a catastrophe.

I dun believe that is the campaign shot !?
How come can Patrick takes such like this???

i think (hope) it's a clever distraction.....it gets extra attention with the idea that they would go far from their normal route...and then we are extra excited about whatever they release which is actually more what we would expect anyway... it's gets more attention by offering this seeming jump away from what we will see later and be happy to get

I must be missing something here. I don't get it???

That's a lot better. I think we can now safely regard the first picture as behind-the-scenes.

Ok, thank the almighty Lord that our suspicions were right. That ad looks delicious.

Here's the final image, which is quintessentially Yves Saint Laurent:

Oh thank the heavens, this is gorgeous. And I like that it's a bit more conservative than the previous ad. Though I still think Mariacarla's ad is still the best.

That's Opium after she's been to rehab. In a way, I suppose the blandness reflects the spirit of reformulation.

^This is an ad series that should not have gone to rehab.

It's boring.

Good to see the ad is really beatiful in the end and Emily looks just gorgeous in it

ITA, urgh the person is the wrong choice and the ad itself is very bland and lifeless:doh:loved it all until now

this seems so dialed down and tame...
at least she looks pretty i guess

I dont know...It's beautiful for sure. But something is off. Maybe it's the fact that they've got a British girl for what's arguably the most French perfume after No.5? Or maybe that it's just too conservative (although I like that!), or maybe it's because Emily Blunt just isn't a YSL girl. She looks rather....cold?
