Yves Saint Laurent F/W 11.12 : Raquel Zimmermann by Inez & Vinoodh

I find myself looking at the background more so than the clothes. I'm not understanding the concept of having Raquel looking so dead and strung up like an addict. I'm so done with heroin chic.

Well, I'm not even a fan of Raquel and I absolutely love this. I just find it reminiscent of the ads I grew up with in the 1980's but in a great way. I agree that it is chic and stylish... Just interesting... I love the images and memories and places it conjures up in my mind. I'm a fan!

i think this is great. their campaigns are always better than the actual collections imo

^ These are better than previous ones. Thanks for posting.

I can't understand why make Raquel, one of the strongest working models, look so frail and feeble with a solemn expression and peaked face against the industrial backdrop while wearing this rigorous and elegant collection. I suppose I don't really understand the branding, or the point. It all, just seems so.. sad.

^IA -_- but wow the night shots are much more impressive! I wished the whole campaign was shot at night.

This campaign could´ve been iconic.

I´m loving the black shot in #64, it´s fantastic, but then you have this scary face in the other one. With this collection, Raquel and the scenery they chose it had so much potential, but it´s kinda ruined by the make-up and some silly poses.

The new shots are so great. I love the vision behind this.

So far the night shots look the best.

I'm keen on the concept ^_^
"In day, at work the woman will wear this, and she change into her party outfit at night"

Why does she have Vampire eyes? and why is her skin so pale? she looks ill.

Perhaps they were trying to make her look like a vampire........

Never felt dissatisfied with Raquel and Inez & Vinoodh, until this. Even in print, Raquel's complexion looks lifeless and overly pale. To think what Claudia, Naomi and Christy's campaigns were like.. I'm beyond disappointed. Given the possible prospect of how much stronger this could have been.
