I believe this hasn't been posted before, as it's not shown at style.com or vogueparis.com. It's late, but may I share YSL pre-fall 07 with you... I think this is again, one of the best that Stefano Pilati has done for YSL among all the pre-collections, wearable, practical, oozing parisienne, effortless chic, mysterious, seductive, all YSL elements combined in one collection. Enjoy and feel free to voice out. I personally like it, very Saint Laurent indeed.

I love this collection - I could wear every piece of it (well, maybe except for the brick-colour toga in post #3), it's very stylish and beautiful.

Thanks for posting, dhclam! :flower:

Well, really, I think we've got to call it a peplos... :p

But, seriously though, it's all very wearable and graceful, albeit expected.

I am SO in love with this collection. Reminds me of FW 05 (the nun inspired collection, my favorite YSL collection ever), very structured and reserved, but never stuffy. I just love Stefano.

I like this Stefano better than I do the FW 07 Stefano.

Oh my...I wanna be a woman now :p Very beautiful. Pilati is so in touch with what the name YSL should be/is about...Ford was all sexy and gorgeous, but Pilati is just so much more YSL (although I'm not sure he designed all this :p )

I wish that this would have been the FW 07 collection! I love this...

his sillhouette doesnt seem to change
well... he has since changed the silhouette a couple times already, and bear in mind, I do think he's having "The Beloved Brand" of all french people on his back with heavy burden and history, let alone an archive that changes how women wear today. If he ever changes drastically, he'd be called "not respectful enough" like Tom used to be. Look at other houses like Chanel, Lanvin, Dior or Azzaro, they all have their core image and soul. Furthermore, we expect major changes would/should only launch at the catwalk show to make a mark, non?

sure, he doesn't design every single piece, but he surely does execute and put his stamp on everything. He mentioned about his schedule for this collection on style.com's interview.

This collection is SO Pilati that I highly doubt he had very little to do with this collection.
