never been a fan of pilati, but i have to admit that this is my favorite collection so far: the whole concept he dilivers is so strong...i see a lot 60s and 70s' YSL in it and also "sobriety and restraint". plus,i even see some tom ford in this collection which is very flattering to me.
i think it sound more ignorant than arrogant...
which is not a bad thing....
means you didn't really understand or experience the REAL YSL....
most of us are too young to have REALLY experienced it...
i only know about it from pictures in magazines, photos of catherine deneuve and from watching the very chicest women in the 70's with all their folkloric peasant gear...including my mother..
but all of pilati's stuff references the very BEST of YSL...
so in a sense...it really hasn't changed....
only EVOLVED...imo...
