Yves Saint Laurent S/S 04 Paris

just take some time and examine it well then you ll see why i also had to change my mind.

next season i think he will not even have the normal lines for clothing, and it will look like the he was reinventing the YSL until YSL cannot be worn anymore. I don't like that connection. It probably has YSL quality but not YSL signature.

In regards to the nipples, I remember reading an interview where he said the nipples were not supposed to be exposed. He wasn't going for that (like he was s/s 03). Flimsy fabrics-bra=nipples

i thought that this collection's accesories were great

like a white croco hobo with double white horn handle
& the heeled spectator shoes

Hmmm Well, I guess I sympathize with mr Ford. He hasn't seemed to be challenging himself an awful lot of late, I wonder if he's gotten bored with fashion. There's been quite a bit of talk about him wanting to become a film producer... (seems a bit of a pretentious notion, having heard gossip of his plans to snag a best picture oscar...) maybe its just like he isnt inspired to continue in this industry.

This show was insanely good. I loved every part of it!! Some of these pieces were featured on the cover of Helmut Newton's book "A Gun For Hire" - which is pretty phenomenal since YSL + Newton owe much to each other!

Full collection (I hope I'm allowed to post it here even though its old :))
