Vanessa Hudgens says Zac Efron helped guide her through the perils of Hollywood. The actress — who recently split from the hunky actor — insists she’s just “friends” with Efron, but admits in a new interview that much of her personal success is a result of his strength.
“A lot of people may get lost in the lights and glamor of it all. It should be about the work first and everything else later,” Vanessa said. I also had to grow with, like Ashley Tisdale and Zac. We all went on this journey together and had each other to fall back on. You’ve got to have your friends to keep your head on straight.”

Zac Efron Can Grow Armpit Hair?!
Are we sure those aren't armpit wigs? Sigh. Our princess is growing up so fast. The Zac Efron of yesterday was a delicate Twink who could balance a bubble on the tip of his eyelashes, and the Zac Efron of today is almost as built as one of Kellan Lutz's nipples. It's as if Cinderella got in Hercules' drawer of growth hormone supplements and testosterone boosters. Dude must be putting extra weights on the bottom of his bronzer sticks.
Australia's NW Magazine published a few pictures of Zac casually working the pole with his nipples out and flashing a new arm tattoo. When I squint my eyes to see what his tattoo is, I get off track and focus on his copper penny nipples instead. But since Zac is the epitome of butch, I'm guessing the tattoo is two swan feathers twirling in a unicorn's air kiss. That must be it.

Taylor Swift has joined the cast of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, a CGI-animated adaptation of the book by the same name.
The 21-year-old country star will play the love interest of an idealistic young man (voiced by Zac Efron), while Danny DeVito will voice the title character, THR reports.
Also lending their voices to the film are Betty White, Ed Helms, and Rob Riggle.

Pictures of him with the girl, identified as Victoria Palmeri, have hit the web via Perez Hilton.
Three in all, the images were reported to be taken at a friend’s apartment in Los Angeles. One of the photos capture a bleary-eyed Zac spreading his arms wide open while standing next to Victoria with a can of Tecate on his right hand. Another photo displays the 23-year-old actor making his moves on the girl.
Back in early February, the former “High School Musical” star has sparked romance rumor with Teresa Palmer. At the time, he was spotted holding hands and being engaged in conversation with the “I Am Number Four” actress at a reception for her upcoming film “Take Me Home Tonight” at Pink Taco in Los Angeles.
After the reception, the twosome headed to Voyeur nightclub in West Hollywood and were alleged engaging in some PDA. An insider told E! In an interview with Shape magazine, Hudgens says the reason they broke up was due to the demands of their busy work schedules and filming at different locations around the world.
“Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what,” the 22-year-old actress tells the magazine. “When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn’t the same.”
But Hudgens says she is still good friends with her former “High School Musical” co-star. The pair’s real-life romance blossomed on the set of the Disney film series, in which their characters, Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, were sweethearts.

Zac Efron has officially signed up for an untitled Matt Drake project. Back in February, he was reported circling the project but he has committed to it now that Fredrik Bond is on board to direct the movie.
Bond, a commercial and music video director, is hired to replace Dante Ariola who left the project though he was attached to the helming duty. The upcoming movie will be Bond’s feature film debut. Drake, meawhile, writes the script for the action romance which was previously called “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman”.
In the film, Efron will play a suburban kid, who spontaneously travels to Eastern Europe to find himself. Early on in his comedic journey, he falls for an alluring young woman and the only thing standing between them is her charismatic, dangerous ex from a criminal underworld. Armed with little more than his wit and naive charm, Efron endures one bruising beat down after another in order to woo the girl he loves and achieve salvation.
Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa of Bona Fide Productions will produce along with William Horberg. The film is listed as a priority project for the company. There is no word on when the production will be kicked off.
