Zac Efron rocks an all-denim outfit as he arrives at his hotel on Wednesday (April 18) in New York City.
The 24-year-old actor is in town to promote his new flick, The Lucky One, where he plays Marine Logan Thibault, a lost soul who finds a photo of a young woman amid the rubble of war-torn Iraq that ends up saving his life.
“We had to train with the dogs,” Zac told MTV News. “It was all very, very fun but a lot in-depth. The more training you do, the more it becomes second nature, and it was a great experience. I’ve never had more fun preparing for a role.”

During a Twitter Q+A with his fans, the 24-year-old Lucky One actor promised his followers that he’d post a picture of his dog named Puppy after a fan asked if he had any pets.

“I’ve got a dog named Puppy. He’s an Australian Shepherd. I’ll post a picture later today,” Zac tweeted.

“Here’s the photo of Puppy I promised earlier. It’s from last Christmas morning. Hilarious! Cheers & thanks again!” Zac added when he followed up on his promise.

New pics were also released of her co-stars Zac Efron holding newspaper bundles, and Matthew McConaughey sporting a scar on his mouth!

Sources who have seen a rough cut of the film reveal exclusively to JustJared.com that Zac spends a good chunk of the film in just his tighty whities! There are also some very sexual scenes between Nicole and John Cusack‘s characters, as well as between Zac and Nicole‘s characters. We can’t wait to see it!

The Lee Daniels drama will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival this coming May.

The film, which also co-stars John Cusack and Matthew McConaughey, is about a reporter who returns to his Florida hometown to investigate a case involving a death row inmate.

“I pinched myself everyday, especially after doing love scenes with Nicole Kidman,” Zac recently told press. “It was the highlight of my life. Nicole was something else and was always in character. She didn’t get weird method, like some actors do, but I have never seen anyone so centered.”

The Paperboy hits theaters November 23!

Asked if the two had an instant chemistry when they started working on the film, Zac replied, “There was.”

“The first time we met for the part, and in between when we were doing readings and stuff like that, we were talking and hanging out,” Zac recently shared. “She’s very down to earth. She’s a real person, very sweet and we got along in that sense, which is so important.”
