a agree with rollagasper.
to be told to come to the store frequently to check for a piece of clothing is really rude.
i hate doing this, because i simply don't have the time for it. what i do then is i get the item code for the piece and call the shops that are close to where i live/work and if the item is there i ask them if they can put it back until i can come and get it...
works most of the time

I just bought a dress from the new collection:

i still have a dress that i bought there two years ago with the tags on it!...
...

i was going to shorten it but never got around to it...:innocent:...

now it's too big on me and that's $100 down the drain!
...

why did i slept on that men's blue coat with the fur collar(the one with the brown buckles). i can't find it anywhere now!
ok well mission accomplished on that. Got my coat today.

Now I am looking for the gray long-sleeve shirt with leopard print...anyone see that around recently?

question, does anyone have the referencecode of the "Stella" nude/cream double breasted blazer from last Spring I think it was.. I bought it from someone but somehow I have this hunch that it's not really Zara..

^ Awesome bag. I saw one that was similar, but it was more like a backpack. This one looks much nicer. Was it on sale?

zara, HM... u re definitly supposed to know ur stock and what u have on the floor. and they tell u what s coming up as well.
and it s normal for a customer to ask questions, that s what sales assistants are there for

Well no one is stopping customers to ask questions they just have to accept the answers even if they go against their preconceived idea of Zara service should be. Zara is not your local family store is a huge organization even inside each store, when I worked in there(and I presume still now) the SA did not had any idea what the trucks coming from Inditex would bring, not even the manager knew. The boxes are open and a lot of the times, all of them if you work at certain hours, the first contact the floor worker has with the new product is when it's already on the shelfs.

At the beginning when Zara started people that worked in the store were not there to help the clients, they were there simply to tidy the store and look pretty(they gave us the most amazing clothes), a couple of years later when I went back, although now we were suppose to help the clients, my job description was still something like Cashier's assistant. We were told our job was not to sale but to make the sale possible, our work was basically and mainly keeping the store presentable. The all organization of the store makes it impossible otherwise. I do not know how things are now or what their job description is, but for i what can see when i go there nothing much has changed

Pretty much they have similar job requirements to any other Fast Fashion sales associate. They don't have to sell the us kids the clothes, the clothes do that just fine! The problem is at least now (or in NA) they are dressed like they work for a luxury goods store with the black suits and white shirts which certainly has a totally different servant/associate to client/customer relationship. Wheres at Burberry an associate has to convince me to spend my hard earned cash on a stripped sweater. This Customer Service discussion has been dragging on quite a bit.

I feel horrible for the employee's at Zara sometimes though. The sale made the store look like straight garbage and having them fold an item one by one while guys throw sweaters on the floor around them was painful. More importantly though is what I want and what I want my shirt. I didn't bump into it on my short New York trip (though I only went to two Zara's).

Everyone knows service is one of the most important things in business. Yes the clothes sell itself but I can't imagine some manager saying not to help the customers too much or that that's more or less Zara's way of working. It doesn't make sense. The SAs should be there and help customers. I've never had an attitude problem and the SAs have always been helpful and friendly to me in pretty much every Zara I go to (in Europe). Now, helping annoying bitchy customers is another story.

I've been to Zara on the first day of the sale, I couldn't see any of my favorite pieces from fall season and the rate was very little, I spent a little time and only bought a pair of sandals which are already cheap on the season but cheaper on sale :)

over the weekend i was in Zara in the Zara Collection area and handed a broken hanger with a jagged edge to an Sales Assistant. she simply threw it on a pile of folded sale clothes and walked over to the Zara Basic room without saying a word.

well thats it for me at zara sales. i got: dark blue skinny jeans (full price), black cashmere/silk mix cardigan, grey wedges, huge red checkered scarf and black ballet flats with patent tips.

yamei:i've been searching for this jacket since i saw it in MTL (the last one apparently) where did you see it !!!!!! I WANT IT!!!!!
