I think Zara is having a great moment right now!! Their quality is amazing... their design is flawless (for the most part...) and they're stepping up on their fabrics too! I don't remember seeing so many silk pieces, or leather. Bags are amazing. Shoes.. well.. I don't wear heels so I don't know how (un)comfortable they are, but they look amazing! I'm waiting for the sales though... AND I'm already spotting some fall pieces! This t-shirt for instance.. great "inspiration", no? I wonder if there is going to be real fur... for both men and women, since it's a trend for both! And leather pants! I guess we won't have to wait that much to see..

esprit great purchases!! GetCloser those shoes are fabulous!
i caved, i went in today. Their new stuff this week is gorgeous but i forced myself to just buy a top, 19.95Euro for Viscose is a bargain so i got it.
The top fits perfectly and drapes so well.. i can't find it on the NL site, but it's a deep green and gorgeous.

I think the bright colours are very divisive, i haven't followed Prada this season, but not everyone suits bright pink, blue and green and i've had lots of friends not shop at Zara for this reason. It's also not that practical- can't really wear bright orange and fuchsia pink to work, but yes the pieces are beautiful.

Hanging out for their sale..

Thanks nicky25 and eu-pt :flower:
I just had a close look to that jacket we were talking about, I took back everything I said about her... I thought it was an evening jacket with some sparkle and it turns out to be a hoodie? then I found this one, thoughts?

^Love the leather jacket on the picture, but it's a little stiff in the leather, I think, irl. And small in size.

no way, H&M uses pig leather rather than Zara's cow/goat/lamb etc leather.

^^^ I tried on the leather jacket. It was great! i'm getting it from hk instead of my local store cause it's cheaper by almost $100! crazy.

i mean faux lather. and how come companies are not required to specify what kind of leather it is?

getcloser love that tweed jacket would love to see it in real life too but i have banned myself from zara until after payday aaarrgghh 17days to go!

Well, the design IS pretty great - though, hardly original... :innocent:

But I thought the leather was very stiff. Probably, because I had just been by COS where I saw a leather skirt for a slightly lower price - however, the leather was absolutely butter-soft. Granted, a skirt is much easier to construct, so I'm okay with the jacket being more expensive. The problem is when you've just felt good quality, the lower quality just seem... very inferior?

SO, I ended up finding the ikat printed trousers!!! They're part of the basic line so there were slight disappointments. The fabric is a very thin cotton viscose, something more appropriate for loungin around the pool than actually going out. I was expecting a silk fabric, alittle more weight and color saturation like the photo in the lookbook.
It's definitely a pajama style pant with an elastic waist and a drawstring. But being that it has been an unbearable heatwave in NYC with 100 degree temps, this trouser might actually be a lifesaver at $50.

I'll post pics soon.

educo is it this one cause I was just going to ask if anybody has seen this in toronto:

I REALLY want the floral tulip dress - but it's sold out in both NY and Chicago.

GRRRR.

Anyone knows where I can locate tulip dress in a size S? It's driving me crazy!

Try in sales, Im not sure about the US but in Spain they are moving the stock from one store to another like each week so something you dont find today could be in a different store or show up anytime during sales in those messed up piles with a great price. Im not sure how the web works tho, not sure if they re-stock or not. :flower:

^I don't think they do that in the Netherlands/ Belgium. Isn't that a big hassle anyway?

Well, if it is, I guess I learned something new. I have never noticed it though.

They do it in every country, also in Belgium. Every store sends stuff to other stores almost every week during the sale. They do it during the season too, because some stuff doesn't sell well in one store and is quite popular in others etc.
And some stores are a better 'new collection' seller than others so at the end of the sale those stores get to send all their last sale stuff to stores where new collection generally doesn't sell that good and where the sale stuff is the most popular. Most of the time the smaller stores are really good new collection sellers, so the sale moves to the biggest stores in the country. The big store in the Nieuwstraat in Brussels (Belgium) is one of those.
