I'm sorry that she isn't dating a rockstar or an independent movie maker or any thing like that.
I'm sorry that she doesn't do all the "cool" things or whatever.
I'm sorry that she is not "aging gracefully" which is a thing that so many ppl are obessed with.

There's a really different perception of her in Western media because most Western journalists don't speak Chinese!

I feel pretty sorry for her though... dating a man who is 1) much older, 2) from a different cultural background and 3) has a different mother-tongue just screams huge communication problems to me. My boyf and I have communication probs already, only having to deal with no. 2)
