Here's the deal with Rooney Mara's Givenchy Oscar dress from my perspective, she looked 80% amazing last night. Her hair and makeup were on point, her posing and presence were sublime, the shape of the dress was fantastic and the back of the dress was awesome, but the bodice of the dress was jacked up in more than one way, it was not flattering, not well-fitted and the design itself does not lend itself to be a real life situation like the red carpet, it is better suited for a controlled situation like a runway or an editorial photo shoot.

I said my best dressed during the show, but here they are again.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow...wow.

2. Rooney Mara...I'm so happy she didn't wear black.

3. Glenn Close...I love everything about this.

4. Octavia Spencer...she seriously got it right this whole awards season.

5. Penelope Cruz...the cut of the dress and the color were so perfect!

6. Angelina Jolie...sexy personified! And I liked that she worked that slit. She usually does when she wears a slit that high.

7. Viola Davis...I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I loved this dress. And I'm happy that she wore her natural hair.

8. Jessica Chastain...So beautiful. I didn't like it at first, but upon further inspection the detailing was amazing.

9. Michelle Williams...I love the color of this dress (kind of a bright coral) and the cut is seriously made for her.

10. Milla Jovovich...her Elie Saab was definitely the best of the night.
