There are too many has-beens and not enough up-and-comers on that presenter list. It's also missing a lot of viable foreign actors. Where's Fassbender, Tom Hardy, Cucumberwhatever (the guy who's going to be in Star Trek)?

Has-beens? Who are the has-beens? I quite like how this year most of the presenters are actually Oscar nominees or winners. And most of the up-and-coming actors go to the Vanity Fair party, anyway. They probably felt that they didn't need to rely on the young stars this year (outside of Kristen Stewart) because they already have Jennifer Lawrence looking likely to win Best Actress, Adele performing (and also looking likely to win) and the musical tribute. Quite refreshing, really.

Kristen Stewart is one of the very few people who must not (for now maybe) place foot on the red carpet for the Oscars. Why is she there, presenting at the same ceremony as Streep and Neeson? Just no.

Benedict Cumberbatch. Literally, don't know why they've invited Kristen Stewart. That she's a big star, I get. But she's not very eloquent...even when she's reading from a teleprompter. Otherwise, while I don't think it's a bunch of has-beens, most on that list are still viable stars and/or legends, but it does look quite dated. And honestly, I think it would make more sense for Cumberbatch to be there than John Travolta. But that's just me.

Maybe calling them has-beens was too harsh. I should say it is heavy on old-school talent (Hoffman, Nicholson, Douglas) versus the new school (Fassbender, Hardy. Cumberbatch). It's a bit too light on foreign actors. Where's Blanchett? Judy Dench..etc?

Completely agree!
I don't think there is anything wrong when an actor that was already nominated or was once a winner, showed up every year to the oscars! I think people like Streep, Kidman, Blanchett, Moore, Dicaprio, Affleck, Freeman, Eastwood deserve to be there and should actually accept that honor, whenever they can.
the real problem is when people like Kristen Stewart, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba, and so on, take their places....
