85th Annual Academy Awards (2013) #2

I am divided concerning Adele's speech: she uses too much swear words for my liking and sounds too vulgar for that reason, sorry if I am being to sensitive about that but I just don't like that

I know what your are getting at. But it's funny that nearly all of the nominated films have swears in them so.

I like Kristen Stewart but why oh why do producers insist in inviting her to present awards?! specially now that Twilight is over....

She was in Snow White and it was nominated, so I understand her invite.
However, she does NOT need to be presenting. I don't think she likes it, but it's probably done to boost ratings. There's no denying that the girl attracts a lot of attention.

Agree LolaSvelt! They should keep the Lifetime Achievement award for sure. Sad always to see who's gone.

The Oscars have become a competition between who campaigns the hardest. Screw giving it to the most talented performance.

ETA: It's always been about campaigning. Since its very inception...

It's always been about the campaign. Even during the Golden Age. That's why it's always best to not take it too seriously.

It always has been but the rise of social media and other forms have technology have made campaigning more obvious.
