Aishwarya Rai

did anyone watch her 60 mins interview? is it just me or does she sound completely full of herself? and god, she kept laughing every other sentence, i got a migraine.
I also don't think shes a great actress. There are so many better actresses in Bollywood but they are just overshadowed by her because she so good-looking and because of her light eyes and fair skin shes more marketable to the west. Fashion sense wise, her indian outfits are great overall, otherwise she looks extremely early 90's.

Hey Rani Mukherji is not crap she is the best actress right now lol i dont mind her but she has won every award pretty much for best actress recently. I was in india recently and saw her she isn't pretty at all, she is heaps DARK! Like way darker then me (look at my pic on my profile) impossible princess she just wears heaps of makeup in movies.

uhh...just because she is "heaps dark" doesnt mean she is not pretty

The reason why her dress sense isn't good is because she is from India. They aren't really up 2 date with the fashion there

How ignorant are you???? This whole tunic/caftan craze sweeping the fashion world, where do you think it came from? Check your fashion "sense" before posting something that stupid.

Just because it came form India it doesn't mean that she can dress good. She looks hot in Indian clothes but she has a bad choice of Westernised clothes. And don't call me ignorant

And to Sugar Pea she did not look pretty at all it's all makeup if you know who she is! Im not sure if your Indian but all the Indian actressess are obessed with having a light skin color and don't want a tan.

Wow you are entirely missing the point. You said, "The reason why her dress sense isn't good is because she is from India. They aren't really up 2 date with the fashion there"

I'm not defending Aishwarya's Rai's choices of clothing, but I am however, saying that your statement regarding India not really being "up 2 date with the fashion" is rather ignorant. The western fashion world has been pulling ideas and fabrics, as well as labor, from India for decades.

i think what luvsass meant was that yes, indian styles are really big but in india people are still a few years behind the fashion we see in milan, paris etc. i've been to india and a lot of people there are still not wearing low-cut jeans! in most places besides Bombay and Delhi you can't even buy them anywhere! the tunic/caftan styles are very classical indian and we've been wearing them for ages, but it takes a while for recent trends in the west to reach mainstream india. In Bombay, they do have several big names like Armani etc, but still its at least a year behind. I went there a year ago, so I don't know how much it has changed. I find that India is changing very rapidly, so who knows! Maybe Aishwarya is just a bad dresser!

thay are behind though, i was there a few months ago and they were going crazy over ponchos while all of us where burning ours. I'm not being patronising or condescending, it's a bit of a paradox in a way because the stuff you're seeing in milan and paris is all their and other eastern countries influence, and they supply places like Browns in London, but when you look at the street style, it's not at the date that we are at yet.

i love these pics, for reasons other than Ash  but if it makes Ash fans happy...
