Alexander McQueen F/W 09.10 Paris

Hahahahah ... that was genius ... but no, seriously ... we havent seen a show like this -not even in Paris- for AGES ... do you think this re-hash of his greatest hits is a cheeky way to tell us to move on???

No, not really - look at his quote in Bidwell's post #347. :)

McQueen never disappoints.

By a mile, this collection is my favorite this season. Those last several looks are especially TDF!! :woot:

Thanks for posting. :flower:

Absolutely stunned at this collection, by far the best of the season, true to McQueen form.
I cannot wait to pop to Old Bond St and see the next window display!

well... the makeup and headpieces are definitely memorable already! O_O I'm not sure how many people will embrace/ be brave enough to apply makeup and lipstick like that off the catwalk and in public  I liked what ElectricAlyce said about being able to present two seemingly different collections in the showrooms and catwalks. i think on the catwalk, it really is about showing how creative, imagainative and wild you can make your collection- making it a memorable one as well.

This collection was completely indescribable for me. I was talking with some friends about it and I found myself at a complete loss for words when trying to think of adjectives. And in the most positive way, too!

I think the set design for the show was a brilliant choice, really set the mood and the colours.

The more media I get of this collection, the more I feel so drawn to it. I scoured nearly every video on YouTube and picture on the internet. :ninja: I'm in love with it, truly. The fact that it comes off as a little bit demented is so intriguing to me.
I think there can be many interpretations of this collection.

i know right the lips amaze me , but they make it hard to tell who the models are !!!

I dont know if anyones mentioned this but I love McQueens referrence to his own previous collections without actually totally ripping anything off. I think the reverse bird illusion is a really dear pattern to him, it seems to have some sort of value to him.

From his S/S 1994 collection
