I continue to be extremely impressed!

I think that the use of word "dry" hits the nail on the head.

Even thought the silhouettes are completely McQueen .. the volume, the shape of the dresses, everything is way more femenine and delicate and autumnal .. is it a mood of the season or Ms Burton will carry on with this textures for the next collections???

I love the fact that she went military. McQueen clothes will definitively stand out in the racks mixed up with the rest of the clothes from other designers for the season.

On another note, yes Im being hard on Burton, she certainly is no Lee, but dont forget that there's no Burton either. She's in a horrible compromising position and she is doing beautiful pieces for the label.

Now the big question is .... is the hardcore McQueen customer remain loyal or run to the shop across the street?

ultra- where can we run across the street too!? that's the saddest thing about all this. I feel i am trying to stay loyal but its becoming difficult. i look at the lastest menswear looks in their shop and nothing sticks out to me like before. i really hope she steps things up and that this is just a phase, or a for our hope, a theme...

Oye... over all this just makes me scared for the brand. Sarah burton has proved herself as a designer, and no doubt we will see a lot of her in the future, but will she just drop the McQueen logo and start herself up?

It feels like she is staying true to herself more than the brand. but isn't that what designing FOR the house is about? Cant she at least try and push the theatrics for lees' sake?

Forwardmotionis: I don't think there is any need for anyone of us to be so drastic about it. Isn't this her first pre-fall collection for the brand?

I personally feel that if she stays true to herself, we will see more beauty and amazing pieces than if she tried to copy McQueen's theatrics. It would be almost insulting.His theatrics are gone. But Sarah's theatrics are here. I can't wait to see the rest of this pre-fall collection and the fall/winter collection!

What the hell is that printed fuchsia dress? Otherwise, it's not bad. A few strong pieces, but not perfect.

Well done Sarah, my disappointment in the mens collection made me worried after seeing the few looks earlier.

i do LOVE that huge red coat, which looks like one of those old fashion officer's coats draped over the woman's shoulders. it'll be very unwearable tho for most women, since the proportions are all wrong for women.

and this fuchsia print dress, it might be an acquired taste, but the details on it are exquisite.

This collection is better than spring.
Some really nice, interesting pieces that we haven't seen before, definately with that softer feminine edge, noteably seen in the split/pleat skirts.
The tailoring is great but that asymmetric dress with the studs and half-gold bodice is slipping out of precision-balance (even in asymmetry) McQueen and into Balmain territory.

I think that Sarah is better in the Resorts and the Pre-Falls
Love it, militar but no cliche, amazing cuts, and i want that pink dress in a red carpet!

I'm pretty sure the red coat is the same as the Men's that was just presented down the runway.
