this is greatI read in an interview with Cathy Horyn a few weeks ago that these materials were completely new and allowed him to work in a different way. It was fascinating because he was discussing with her how he, guesquiere, simons and a few other were all on this quest for this new loom that everyone had visualized but it hadn't been invented yet! If you are interested in the future of fashion its definitely worth a read, on the T magazine website which is part of the new york times!
i read it too. thanks for mentioningI definitely have to agree with you, I see a lot of similarities between this and Manish Arora.sorta soft manish aurora a/w 2008. (all this insect-butterfly thing is quite obvious- was an inspiration, im quite surprised what noone spied it yet. hairdo, boots, colors, forms and shapes- its butterflies and not aliens) so for me thats high manish aurora but without that splash of colors but with add of hologram image and lots of silver
I'm in love. I can't wait to see the full video. I don't see what the problem is with him re-interpreting elements from previous collections especially when it's done so well. A few pieces aren't my style, but I'm in love with the presentation. The detail work here looks amazing though I'd like him to incorporate more of his tailored pieces into his work once again. The prints are gorgeous, but there are a few too many looks that feature them.
