This looked really weird and kinda silly. But I wanna see HQs.

I was almost closing the stream when Poly walked in, I was like "someone forgot to tell her the show is over!"

Yeah, the division into two sections made no sense. Or at least the way they did here, with an actual finale before part two started.

Another colorless collection for New York. Save for those oxbloodish leather coats.

He's the first to present what will I think be a long serie of post-apocalypse inspired collections. And I think it's the very first time that i'm completely sold by one of his collections.
The stage direction was absolutely brilliant. When the second part started I was like WTF ?!?! and the music was really great too.

As for the clothes, I feel like for the first I see a real depth in his collection. The show was very coherent, he didn't get carried away and presenetd a lot of great and desirable pieces. The accessories are once again to die for and even though the post 2012 inspiration is an easy pick, he succeeded interpreting it in a literal way but without loosing touch of reality.

I agree with the post-apocalyptic assessment, and I really loved the use of mirrors, how the models stopped and looked in them. This reminds me, in tone, of last Fall's Marc Jacobs show, with all the "hard edged" shine, but Jacob's looks with all the pencil skirts, pill box hats and polka dots, was retro. Wang's take this year is definitely futuristic. And I am sold on it. The military inspired leather, the encase shiny mesh, the black gauze and down. It's all about protection and survival. It's clever and coherent, it makes a statement. SMART SHOW!!

Save for the blood ox coat, this was very boring and the fabrics look cheap. Good casting though lol

I see it not so much as a post-apocalyptic collection, but more as one that focuses on the path towards it. The protester moving towards global downfall.

Yup. That remains my main issue with his collections.. he definitely knows where to look for inspiration but the result is always rather cheap and amateurish. I feel like it's a passion vs. talent kind of thing.
